This pattern was in the same time frame as wakerider017 posted back on page 30 and his got delivered that morning in Tampa (I'm even closer in GA). Could have easily gotten here for delivery today, but I'm not so sure now. Last scan shows at 4:36 AM departing IND...still could have gotten here this am-Fed EX scans are often behind-I've had things delivered from them before and it not even show "out for delivery".

Apple shows 2-3 day delivery and this would make it a two day one. Well, not holding my breath, but it could happen-any other GA folks showing different/more recent tracking info?

It's Here...

FWIW, I ordered my 24" 2.8 w. 750 HD on the 17th and its on the same exact schedule from "In Transit SHANGHAI CN" onward and it is listed for delivery by 8/31 10am to Northern VA.

Awoke to find the status updated to on the truck for deliver and it arrived on our doorstep at 8:45 AM. It only took a few minutes to unpack and get configured to find my LinkSys wireless WPA2 router and is currently downloading software upgrades.

I didn't opt to do the auto migration right away.. I've read mixed reviews about how well it works... I don't run many apps so I will probably just reinstall / update them manually...

Wow....Congrats!!!!! I can only hope....that would be just a fantastic surprise, but I am in Savannah-another 4 hours down the road (at least drive time). My tracking info still hasn't been updated since it left IND at 4:36 AM

What time did your arrival scan show for Atlanta? Did it go to Memphis first?

Enjoy playing with your new iMac over the long weekend! I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for FedEx and my fingers crossed!!!!

Do you think it will make it on time? According to simpletracking it stopped in South Korea, which I thought was an odd omission by FedEx

But, the timing is consistent with other orders I'm seeing, PieMac and at least one other person whose Macs arrived and left Anchorage at the same time as mine, and are now getting theirs delivered today from places farther than me from indianapolis. Is it possible that somehow my page isnt getting updates, or my box hasnt been scanned?

Ordered mine from authorized apple reseller in Markham on Aug. 14th a.m., it's now 11 a.m. Friday Aug. 31 and no sign of shipment. Hopefully it'll be in this afternoon. This is freakin' drivin' me nuts, never had to wait for something that long... apple seems to be overwhelmed iMac orders. This 2-3 day, 5-7 day is bunch of crap.

Anybody out there ordered before 14th and still waiting?

UGG Im still at work, wife sent me IM saying "It's HERE!" and I asked her to send me a picture but she hasn't yet... she just doesn't understand the importance of the situation.

Anyway, my info from Anc is as follows (no didn't go through memphis) However notice how it goes to Hapeville Ga which is near hartsfield airport then to indianapolis a few mins later then magically goes to alpharetta which is south of where I live.

Mine was one of the one's with the same tracking as yours up to Anchorage. I was shocked when I checked this morning and saw that mine came directly down the west coast and did not route through Indianapolis or Tennessee like it has for others.

Yes, I did! Setup was quick and easy. I've been using a 12-inch PowerBook G4 for the past three years, so it's exciting to have a huge screen again. I couldn't even imagine having the 24-inch model, haha. I hope your system is working out well too.

FedEx nightmares

I must say that I am quite disappointed in FedEx.

My iMac was in Anchorage at the same time along with many of the rest of yours. Yesterday, when they all shipped to their hubs, my flight, the one going to Indianapolis, did not have a complete crew and was canceled. Instead of rushing another flight immediately, FedEx did absolutely nothing. Today, they were still doing nothing, in fact, someone had scanned my package as at the "local" sort facility in Anchorage, while I live in PA. Its going to fly out today, and I asked for a Saturday delivery, which they said they would try to do. I just think its ridiculous that they can't get a crew together and when such a thing does happen, they don't rush to fix the situation. Is there anything else I should be saying? Should I be calling Apple?

Looks like it's going to be a long weekend with no iMac. It sat for several hours in IND for what reason I have no idea. I was also synched with a lot of folks who wound up with theirs out for delivery today...somewhere along the line I got shanghaied (no pun intended).

I called FedEx and talked to one of their International reps and he said, for what it's worth, that they try and rush it along whenever there's a delay and get it out asap. The best he could do was take down my name and number and forward it to my local FedEx facility with a note that if it should come in today, to try and get it out to me. I was told that their was no Saturday delivery option in my area...? Maybe I'll call back about that one just to be sure.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with FedEx again and they said that they could deliver it Saturday if it comes in...and at no extra charge. So, it's still sitting in Memphis, of course (at least according to the tracking info-for whatever that's worth). I know it's too late to ask but did you order your iMac through Apple's telesales? I did and mine shipped a day earlier than expected from FedEx. I'm finding out that it's not a good idea to order from the resellers as Apple tends to give product priority to their customers whom ordered directly from Apple. Hope it comes on Saturday as I plan to play with my new toy all weekend and I hope you do too. Good luck.

Actually, I did order through Apple telesales...the only reseller I will use other than Apple is Amazon.com-they're excellent.
I think the hang-up is with FedEx rather than Apple. It got delayed 36 hours before leaving Shanghai (original scan showed it leaving on the 28th, when, in fact, it didn't leave until the 29th). Had it left on time, I'd be typing on it right now

Thanks for the good luck-I'll take it and maybe I'll luck out with a surprise Saturday delivery. At least I can pretty well bet it will be here Tuesday (re-scheduled delivery date is Weds, but FedEx almost always delivers a day early-at least most of the time in my experience. Have fun with your new iMac!
