I'm about to set up infuse with all my movies. I hope it connects easily to my hard drive connected to airport extreme!
Infuse works great with an Airport Extreme - just be sure to user a username of 'admin' and the Disk Sharing password you have setup. Thanks! Can't wait to try itUpdate regarding DivX: We have this issue resolved, and are tentatively planning to support DivX/Xvid in the upcoming 4.0.3 update.
Thanks for your patience.

Well, the AirPort Extreme (and Time Capsule) don't actually have a 'username' but the field cannot be left blank so we recommend using admin. There's nothing to gain or lose by using something else (though some people have said using 'guest' does not work). My setup is a 5tb seagate drive plugged into the AirPort Extreme and it works great. My only question is why you suggest using "admin" as the username? Is there an optimization I'm missing by having mine setup with my network's name and password.
Thats great news! Thanks guys.Update regarding DivX: We have this issue resolved, and are tentatively planning to support DivX/Xvid in the upcoming 4.0.3 update.
I'm not using accounts on mine and infuse works. So I guess this is more of a mac thing, but when I set my "Secure Shared Disks" to "with Accounts" I can't even get my mac to really connect. It will show the Drive, but it won't let me get into the drive. When I Change it to Disk Password then it seems to work just fine, but then I Assume Infuse will not work....
I have no idea what to do to solve it...
How do you setup the username and password if you have no username? Just leave it blank?I'm not using accounts on mine and infuse works.
I use device password and use my network's username/password in Infuse. I formatted my drive HFS+.How do you setup the username and password if you have no username? Just leave it blank?
are you using a disk password or a Device Password?
No matter what I use, Infuse says the username and password is wrong. I've tried all 3 ways. My mac will only connect to the Drive if it's either in Device Password or Disk Password. If it's in Account then my mac will show the folder but won't let me actually access any of the files.
Does my Hard drive have to be formatted in a certain way? For the "accounts" to work?
If i use the other method as people are mentioning then what do I enter in the infuse App for the username and password?
I have not had this problem. But have you tried to CLOSE the APP and restart. If not, it will return to where it left off. Maybe that would help.I love inFuse and don't think I would have kept the Apple TV without it.
The only issue I have noticed, if it loses connection to one of my network shares, it just throws an error.
It will not even try to reconnect. When you go back to the folder, the error message immediately pops up.
I have to manually delete the share and re-add it.
It would be nice if it had a refresh option.
Is your share setup with a fixed IP by chance? Often times IPs can change (when a device is restarted) so it's usually best to use a DNS name (E.G. My-iMac.local) instead of an IP.I love inFuse and don't think I would have kept the Apple TV without it.

Yes, a number of subtitle display options can be found in the playback menu (swipe down while a video is playing). Can i change style of substitles somewhere in Infuse? They are realy bad to see, when i play video..
Hmm, would you be willing to send in a quick note with a few more details (file type, source type, Wi-Fi/ethernet, etc...)I've noticed that stuttering becomes more pronounced when subtitles or the progress bar are displayed on-screen. Has anyone else noticed this? Playback is certainly smoother with the latest update, but I still notice some stuttering and dropped frames (particularly on 1080p/24 content).
Great to hear!Just took the plunge and purchased the Pro version. Connected to my AEBS with attached HDD no problem and most of all, playback of mkvs ripped from my BRs and containing DTS play without a hitch. Very happy!
I have set up Dolby and DTS over HDMI, so everything streams properly. I do have to occasionally select a specific track, for instance, my Avatar mkv started playing with a voiceover track describing what was being shown on screen. But that's the only thing is not just click and watch. I am anticipating improvements with the UI (unwatched/watched, recently added, etc) but so far it is working better for me than Plex...no server needed.
A couple questions though, 1) is the player bitrate the same as the original movie or is it lowered to improve streaming and 2) is the DTS transcoded to AC3 on the fly for the aTV? I ask because the only way I could get smooth playback of the same file with Plex was to lower the quality setting to 20mbps.
Thanks for the prompt reply! That clears that all up for me.Great to hear!
We do have a few improvements in the works (resolving an audio track selection issue is one of them).
Infuse doesn't do any transcoding, and it will play the native resolution/bitrate of the video (unless it's a 4K video, then it's scaled to 1080p). Dolby/DTS audio tracks will be passed through unchanged, though you can choose to disable this which will cause Dolby/DTS to be downmixed to 2ch stereo (this is useful in cases where the device the Apple TV is connected to doesn't support surround sound, like some TVs).
Any progress being made on DTS-MA/DTS-HD passthrough?
In progress...Any solution for the Dolby/DTS passthrough issue with 2015/2016 Denon receivers ?
I'm buying a Denon X2200W as soon as this issue has been resolved. In the meantime Denon have to wait for my money
