Bug/suggestion:

I had to pick the right tag for Ant-man on all my devices (about 10% of my titles are the wrong movie or no selection). It seems there should be a cross platform recognition so I only have to do this once.

Worse, I selected the correct title metadata on my iPhone when viewing the files on my network HDD. I just downloaded Ant-man via the Infuse app (love that feature since I hate iTunes) and it didn't recognize my tagging that I had already done on my iPhone. So by my count I've had to tag titles for my two iPhones, iPad, two Apple TVs, and any time I download a file that doesn't automatically tag.

An iCloud syncing option is something we're looking at for a future version. Stay tuned. ;)

Great! an iCloud Syncing option for favorite and shared folders an metadata tags would be awesome. Lot of us, we have more than one device!

Files in a UPnP share DO NOT play.

Deleted favorite, reload
Deleted share, reload
Deleted Infuse, reload

Error trying to load content.

WOW.... haven't looked a lot @ Infuse since Plex.app, but I was pretty annoyed at the lack of DTS etc. with Plex, so I gave Infuse (Pro) another go, pointing at the same Plex library.
And.. again.... WOW...!!??!!

It all works very nicely now! DTS, Dolby Digital AND the Plex sever is NOT decoding....!

I am stunned!!!!

Seems like it may be an issue with UPnP indexing or caching. Often times it can take a bit for a media server to re-index things before changes are made available to other apps. Feel free to drop us a note if we can do anything else to help. http://firecore.com/contact

Awesome! So glad to hear you're enjoying it. :)

Still my favorite UI is Infuse so hopefully they can improve the performance soon but really not counting on it since they have had a lot of time to get it right. I also have the iPad App and it has the same performance problems. I will need to test it more since it is definitely on WiFi.
Mike, can you play any file on a DLNA/UPnP share on tvOS. After update to version 4.0.3, my share shows no files. Also, can you test a file after adding a new share on DLNA/UPnP. I get an error on loading content on every file. Thanks, Debbie
[doublepost=1455672826][/doublepost]Nevermind. Finally got the files to play, however, the lag is now up to 9-11sec to load the file. Back to SMB.

I did a lot of testing with 4.0.3 and gave my results but have not used it since. I have a Favorite for my DLNA and my SMB for the same folders. I recorded the Grammys last night. I tried to play it and it took well over 30 seconds and never started with DLNA. I then tried with SMB and it work like before. I went into the Ellen that I was testing before and same problem it just spin and never started. Then plan the same with SMB and normal. Then went back to DLNA and after it bit it started to play on DLNA. Then went back to the Grammys on DLNA and it would not play. This is very strange since using the same release. About to eat dinner but maybe a reboot would help. Also, I did close the App but did not help.

Rebooted multiple times over the last few days. No difference. Don't know why behavior changed tonight. I think there is a definitely a problem on Infuse. Or maybe, magic gremlins?

Haha. I rebooted and no help. Something is wrong. I did try with both SMB and DNLA. If you wait a LONG TIME you can get the DNLA to work (I least worked for me). Let it set spinning while you get coffee and then maybe it will start.

Infuse's interface is great so I've been using it exclusively but I just tried NAStify again tonight and was surprised how quickly it displayed the folders/content. The interface still sucks but it made me realize how far Infuse has to go with some of the non-sexy coding.

question: I tried to play an mkv file and it prompts me to upgrade to pro. This is the first time I've seen this. Does this mean this particular file requires pro features to playback? other mp4 files play back with the free version.

I use Infuse Pro for watching x265 (HVEC) videos. 720p ones are flawless but when it comes to playing 1080p files Infuse starts lagging. It must be because of Apple TV's not-so-enough hardware decoding capability, right? Anyone else experiencing this?

I have been using MrMC but prefer Infuse UI. But the performance problems are still an issue for me. Hopefully they will eventually resolve it. After all this time I am starting to think they would need a complete rewrite of something low level.

surprisingly, it is powerful. I tested playing 4k video Sintel using ATV4/Infuse and ethernet, it played smooth with no pixelation but paused and buffered once for 22 seconds. it tooks 5 seconds to start. other non-4k videos took about 3 seconds to start. pause and buffer can be either hardware, network, or Infuse.

playing this same video on Google Nexus Player using wifi and Kodi, it pixelated and freezed. On nVidia Shield (most powerful hardware with 4k support), this video played smooth (using Kodi and ethernet).

I ended up buying pro. that was the issue. the mkv files play fine now.

Do you know when an update will be made so the episodes mark as watched? That's the only downside for me.

This really is a must! I find it *really* annoying that I have to go through and correct all the misidentification of movies on my server every time either my Apple TV or media server is powered down and restarted. Please just store this information on iCloud and reload it when needed!!!!!! Make me very happy - build this function into the next release pleeeeeeeease!

Hmm - the cached metadata on your device should most definitely remain after a restart (NAS or Apple TV).

The iCloud syncing option described above would allow for a single library to be available on multiple devices - IE, you make a manual correction one device, and it would appear on all other devices.
