Try this:

If favourite folder name is "Movies", add image "Movies.png" in the same sub folder which contains the "Movies" folder.

Sorry, this is incorrect. Will post correction

Add image "favorite-atv.png" to the "Movies" folder.

Note: not favourite, but favorite

ahh yes that's probably what I did, I'll check when I get home - thanks

Do you happen to know the recommended dimensions for this image? I'm setting up a drive for my parents as a present and this would be a nice touch!

This is from FireCore's website

Favorite artwork
Custom artwork can be set for favorites by

favorite-atv.png or favorite-atv.jpg - used on Apple TV, and in list view on iOS (1920 x 1080 recommended size)

favorite.png or favorite.jpg - used on iOS (1000 x 1500 recommended size)

Just remember to use the US spelling :)

The folders will remain intact, so if you set 'Movies' as a Favorite, then you should see a Disney folder inside that contains all your Disney movies. The one exception to this is when a folder contains only a single video - Infuse will then flatten that folder so it appears as a playable item.

Full details on setting artwork for Favorites and folders can be found here.

This doesn't seem to be working for me. Under my Favorite I have a subfolder which contains the Episodes for a TV Show e.g.

/Favorites
/Favorites/TV Show 1/
/Favorites/TV Show 1/TvShow_s1:e1.mkv
/Favorites/TV Show 1/TvShow_s1:e2.mkv
/Favorites/TV Show 1/TvShow_s1:e3.mkv
/Favorites/TV Show 1/folder.jpg

What I expected to happen is that I would get a subfolder under favorites using the folder.jpg artwork which would then when opened show the episodes, but instead all the episodes get flattened out at the main Favorites level? What am I doing wrong ?

Do these folders have a single season? If so, Infuse will likely flatten them so that season appears in the top Favorite level (saving extra clicks).

The upcoming 4.2 update will implement a library view, and will allow for organization/browsing to be a bit more flexible.

Yes they're all for the same season. I found out that if i removed the s1:e1 labels from the filenames the correct thing happened. Looking forward to the library view. ETA?

Hi

What do you call a "library view" exactly? :)

You have to use 0 in front of single numbers like: s01 e01.mkv

Hi firecore.

I bought my Apple TV today and bought Infuse Pro. May I say, it is an amazing app! Way superior to the offering from Apple to browse my iTunes Library.

I have only two doubts:
  1. I selected my Movies and TV Shows folder as favorites. At first the default icons appeared for these two, so I added a Movies.png and TV Shows.png images to each folder (dowloaded from one of the forum posts on firecore.com)
Sadly, the image is not showing up. It shows in my iPad when browsing, so it is working there, but not in my Apple TV.

EDIT: I already tried with both favorite.png and favorite-atv.png. No luck either.
EDIT #2: So I checked on firecore.com forums and it seems this is coming in version 4.1. How are people here trying this betas?

  2. Currently my TV Shows are stored in this way:
    -Modern Family
    --Season 1
    ---01 Episode Name
    ---02 Episode Name
    --Season 2
    ---ETC...

Infuse is not able to fetch the metadata this way. I need to rename the filenames to Modern Family S01E01 to work correctly. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any help! And congrats on this excellent app! =)

1. I use folder.png for my favourites, which works fine. If it it isn't showing, try quitting the app and it will refresh when it opens

2. Yes, that seems to be how it works, using the naming convention S01E01 - a few posts above this one mentions details of upcoming changes which you may find interesting..

I'm finding the app crashing frequently now upon resuming videos, ever since updating the Apple TV software. Not blaming Infuse but seems odd. Have to restart the app and then it works fine.

Thanks Hermes Monster!

I'll try and rename them to folder.png tonight.

Hmm - it's not something we've noticed, but may be resolved in the upcoming 4.1 update.

Yep! Especially with the new TVos release.

Would converting the file to m4v with iFlicks or others to scrap for artwork mean you don't need to setup all this hierarchy for the artwork?

You can also long-press on a favorite icon, and select 'Refresh Artwork' to update the cached favorite artwork. ;)

There's no particular hierarchy needed - though if you want to organize videos into folders, there's a certain structure that Infuse will look for. More details here: https://support.firecore.com/hc/en-us/articles/215090947-Metadata-101

Apart from that, you can put all your video files in a single folder and Infuse will sort through them automatically.

Is not possible to watch Video add ons from Kodi? When i add the Kodi Upnp server i just can see Video Library and Music LIbrary.
