I know the PB is a GM Release Candidate. But the DP is still the GM on the developer portal, right?

I'm not a Developer, so i cannot access the full portal, but this is what I see on the developer website.

Someone who has access to the Portal will need to check that.

That's what I've got on the developer portal. 14A403, you should have the same with public beta profile.

Do anything different with setting up the device? OTA, fresh install? Thats what I was seeing with beta 6/7, but 8/GM is half of that.
Beta 8 was bad for battery. I got like 6h usage. I just OTA installed the GM. Haven't done anything differently after installing it - same usage pattern.

Most apps are loading a bit slower on my iPhone 6 compared to iOS 9.3.5. Is this because of the apps "not being optimized" for iOS 10 yet? Or is this just how it's probably going to be?? I like mostly everything else about iOS 10. The animations are awesome but the overall load time on almost all of my third party apps is noticeably slower sometimes up to a few seconds! Even launching safari is a bit slower but once it gets going loading a page it's similar.

I know right? But they are now calling it "release candidate" so potentially we could get something else on Tuesday. I am not sure if they have ever called it anything other than golden master in the past.
Yeah it's the same build. The PB website says GM Candidate, not GM seed.
Realistically it's always a release candidate since if anything is discovered that needs to be addressed for the actual public release then a new GM build would be made available. They might not have referred to it explicitly that way for developers before (calling it just GM or GM seed), but that's basically what it is, a release candidate.

When did they start calling it release candidate?

I suppose this year as not seen that before:

Get the iOS 10 GM Candidate
We are pleased to give you access to the iOS 10 final release candidate. .............................

https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/guide

Typically an RC is a candidate for release that could change. Most times you may see RC2 and RC3 as well before finals. Not necessarily with Apple but other software.

As I've already stated. The GM 'candidate' was seeded to Public Beta members. Developers received the same build one day earlier, and its called GM seed. What developers receive is the only thing that matters. There is a time in the past Developers received 2 GM candidates, iOS 7 being that time. But this DP GM is not a candidate, it is the final seed.

We may see a 10.0.2 on launch day, but we will not see a different 10.0.1, guaranteed.
We have seen updated GM builds, but not too often. So it's still basically a release candidate, just one that usually gets to be the actual release.

Animation is still slow, music still has bugs galore, and swiping right to widgets takes at least a second to update. Screen doesn't scroll.

To make matters worse, I am having trouble reporting the numerous bugs that still exist as Feedback Assistant isn't working... I've tried deleting and restarting I just can't submit anything.

These seem like simple obvious bugs, I can't believe they still haven't been addressed.

Can anyone explain why the Mail App has a sort of white fade when you minimise the app once it is open and then open it again?

No I'm saying I want Feedback.app to be included.

Hahaha my bad. I clearly read that wrong! I agree, if it didn't constantly run in the background (which is does for me for some reason, unless I sign out) It would make reporting bugs a lot easier for the masses. Might actually be beneficial.

Even for developers. At least for me, Radar is an absolute pain.

I never said he achieved absolute perfection. There's no way that's possible. The Reality Distortion Field was real, and now Apple is becoming a regular company that just happens to have a huge following.

Is any of what I'm saying making sense?
Only to people with a histrionic need for a company to meet their fantasy standards.
