CarPlay is really bad in beta 2. It stops audio playback between every 1-5 minutes... constantly having to hit play.

This happens to me a lot too. CarPlay will be running Maps but with the FM radio running for audio. Fiance pulls up FB Messenger on my phone and it immediately shuts down the FM radio audio and goes silent until I tell the head unit to go back to FM audio. Utterly obnoxious. Using a Pioneer 4000 NEX on the latest firmware

Edit: added head unit model

I wonder if it would let me go back to Beta 1 if I did it manually through iTunes. Probably not.
[doublepost=1467896238][/doublepost]Tried a Reset All Settings but that was a waste of time.

Can anyone with a 3D Touch device say that Notifications are working properly on the Lockscreen? I don't see this mentioned much, but it is definitely not working properly in Beta 2 and its annoying as can be.

Just download the ipsw and then alt+click the Check for Updates in iTunes. This allows you to select the new firmware for an update.

I am using iPhone 6S and the 3D touch on notifications on lockscreen is not taking a shot at Beta 2 however. I reset all settings and the issue stayed same!

2 things:
  • Pet peeve of mine here: when you post about something not working right with the beta on your device, say its happening "on my phone/ipad" etc.. Just because its happening to you, definitely doesn't mean its happening on a majority of or even any other devices. I realize most of you mean its happening to you, but when I know its not happening to me, I get aggravated reading that. </rant>
  • Has anyone noticed that in the Battery setting, it now gives you a suggestion as to a setting to change to optimize battery life? (sorry if I missed that in the preceding 959 posts or in the corresponding Beta 1 thread!)

Is it possible to edit the 'Favourites' Phone widget?

Also I seem to been having issues with Messages notifications. Sometimes I'll wake my phone to find like two messages which I didn't get a sound or vibration phone, not on my watch. Doesn't happen all the time.

Oh also hitting return or delete in a text box on Safari seems to push me to the bottom of the page. Literally typing this I can't hit the backspas without being forced to the bottom of the page.

Despite having DND on group chats I'm now getting the screen wake and vibrate, just not the notification. Wasn't happening on beta 1.

Yes, just edit the favourites in the Phone app (first tab).

Me too. I have notifications set to repeat and when I read a message on another device the repeat function doesn't get cancelled. In other words, my phone will play the message notification sound but there's no notification or unread message. This worked fine for me in beta1, so it's an error introduced in beta2.

Just checked my battery section and it says Reduce Brightness and is tappable, which then takes me to the brightness section. Neat but I use auto brightness so even if I change it it'll just float back to where it was I think. Great concept though

Sorry to repeat this, but I don't believe there's been a response so far to my initial comment. Does anyone know if the ability to designate a number for text messaging in one's Favorites list is new to iOS 10, and if it's supposed to open a new message thread for the person in question when tapped?

In iOS 10 beta 2, for me, tapping a messages number favorite merely opens the messages app as it appeared when last accessed. Doesn't seem like it should do that.

That's great thanks. Although setting a favourite and choosing the Messages function just takes me to the Messages app rather than to a conversation with that person. That doesn't seem to be how it should function. Surely choosing a favourite should take me to that person's conversation.

When I select Message under a contact or under info in favorites, it takes me to the current conversation going on with that contact.

Nope. Clicking on a favourite for me just takes me to the Messages app. Doesn't take me to the ongoing conversation with that contact.

ah...I see the issue. If you assign a favorite that goes to messaging, then it only opens the messaging app and not the current conversation. If you go to contacts and select a contact and then select message it opens the current conversation.

Yeah I can replicate that. Seems to me that the Favourites list should work like that too, otherwise what's the point?
