Actually according to what I'm reading on the gib hub and the reddit jail breaking communities if 10.2 isn't out now, it's VERY close to being ready.

I'm taking the leap on my 6plus to 10.2... I feel good about this. Thank God I have the 10.2 ipsw saved and Apple hasn't stopped signing it... and I caught this message in time.

So, I'm gonna take the plunge on my 7plus. Before I do, I just want to make sure that Yalu beta 3 is still the preferred version for the 10.1.1 jailbreak.... I see that there is a beta 4, but have read that it doesn't work very reliably.

So, beta 3 right?

JB is out now for ios 10.2 iPhone 6S

can confirm it works, just updated SE after much debate from 9.3.3

edit- just updated iPad Pro to 10.2 too and works fine too

Substrate enabled too, no ijap00 crap needed!!

yes,

7/7+ on 10.1.1 hasn't received an update yet, its still in b3.

all other 64-bit devices, have received update called 'yalu102', for 10.0-10.2,

---

for non 7/7+ people ( 'yalu102') on 10.0-10.2, this JB method appears to work first try for the 6 times I've done it after rebooting across devices,

woo, cant wait for this cleanliness on my 7+ 10.1.1, in terms of injection method with success

if not on 7/7+, hop to 10.2 asap before window closes, see: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-10-1-1-jailbreak-released.2023266/page-17#post-24227311

if on 7/7+, hold tight on 10.1.1, I'd expect stability around the bend and maybe even support for <10.1.1 versions on 7/7+ too (but speculative on my part)

:D

---
Two notes about this JB:

edit- guys, get tvOS beta profile to disable OTA after going to 10.2, this yalu102 doesn't disable Ota either (like beta3 for 10.1.1), so grab it from
beta.applebetas.tk/tvos
^punch in safari mobiel on applicable device, and install and reboot

should be good, but check by seeing if it recognizes update or says 10.2 is latest (it isn't, but yay)

would suck to accidentally go .1 right after the signing window closes

also,
addd repo: apt.saurik.com/beta/cydia-arm64
and install the essential updates,

yalu102 is packaged with an older 32 bit cydia build, that has some weird bugs with iOS10 (like having to slide to press certain buttons, and touch the right spot type thing)

This 'more stable than b3' JB for 10.2 on non-7 devices (what a handful) is still bound to a side load cert, too. so we'll have to wait for jbme magic or App Store infiltration of a masked app,

so frustrated.

iPone 7 / 7 Plus users can't really jailbreak atm on 10.1.1 cause Beta 3 is too much buggy .

Old iPhone model users can jailbreak on 10.2 with more stable jailbreak.

So frustrated

only temporary, my friend

It's a holiday, don't get mad get glad

It is odd my older gear is on an iOS version one month newer, but it is what it is, and as a 10.1.1 7+ user with 10.2 Pro and SE now, couldn't care less! My other devices can 'keep' their emojis and floating heart iMessage animation for all I care,

Also don't come across entitled, its not like this jailbreak is an Apple product release, its all Luca and company

I'm pairing my watch with SE and unpairing from 7+ because I haven't used SE/watch combo since summer,

Fast from iPhones end, but jeez does the unpairing process from Apple Watch take FOREVER

edit-

here's the iOS 10 JB 'fam' (scratched out serials in pic, but probably doesn't even matter)

Guys, I'm using an iPhone 6 running 10.1.1. I don't have ipsw saved. Can I update to 10.2 and Jailbreak?

Oh, and is Cydia available yet?

Just follow the instructions up above. My iPhone 6+ is updating to 10.2 from 10.1 right now. I have not jailbroken yet so i do not know about the cydia part

Yalu Jailbreak is only for (10.0-10.2)6S/6S+/SE/iPad Pro
(10.1-10.1.1) 7/7+

Yeah that doesnt work....

White screen shows up, then disspears after fifteen seconds..Launched Cydia... but my tweeks havent shown up in the Apple settings....So doesnt look like it works anymore.

Oh well was fun while it lasted. lol

You have to run the Subtrate Fix after rejailbreaking in order to get tweaks/themes to work. It activates Subtrate.

  1. Connect your iPhone or iOS device to your computer
  2. Select the device in iTunes
  3. On a Mac, hold down the “Option” key and then click on “Update”
  4. On a Windows PC, hold down “SHIFT” key and then click on “Update”
  5. Select the IPSW file you downloaded and click “Choose”
  6. Let the iOS device update as usual

Thanks again. I'm in the process of updating to 10.2.1. Once I've done this, should I downgrade to 10.2 straight away? Or wait a day? I don't want to miss out if Apple stop signing 10.2! Especially now that 10.3 BETA is released!

Signing window isn't going to close till next week sometime, but I would do it now. Don't see a JB coming for 10.2.1.

Cool. Wish me luck!!!
[doublepost=1485539117][/doublepost]Oh Oh! I've just gone to update to 10.2, but I don't have the 'Update' button available. It just asks to Check for Update.

I updated to 10.2.1

I downloaded 10.2 IPSW

Opened up iTunes again.

Hope I haven't cocked up!!!

What device?

If SE or iPad Pro/ 6s, should be ok. (10.0-10.2)

If 7/7+, SOL (10.2 or up)
