Download Impactor. Download yalu beta 3. Connect your device to your computer. Drag yalu beta 3 to Impactor. Sign with Apple ID using App Specific password if you have that enabled. Reboot phone. Cydia and mach_portal should be on home screen. Go into Settings, General, Profiles & Device Management, Verify mach_portal app. Launch mach_portal app. After app launches and closes itself on its own without rebooting the phone (It may fail and reboot the phone, it doesn't always work on the first try. You just have to be persistent until it succeeds.) Launch Cydia, add repo: http://83.218.67.215/~ijapija00/cydia/ and download Substrate Fix (iOS 10) and use that to Respring the device whenever necessary. Never click on Respring from within Cydia. Click on the Substrate Fix app on the home screen and your phone will reboot into a jailbroken state. A cog wheel will show the whole reboot time if it succeeded. If not, the phone failed and is rebooting. You simply have to run the mach_portal app again until it succeeds and run Substate Fix again. I found that it succeeds better when fully turning off the device after a fail and turning it back on before trying again. It may not really help, but it's what I do.

And if you're having issues with iMessages, install WhiteTerminal from Cydia and run the following commands. (Press return after each line)
su
alpine
chmod 777 /var
chmod 777 /var/mobile
chmod 777 /var/mobile/Library
chmod 777 /var/mobile/Library/Preferences
reboot

This is a pretty stable jailbreak if you don't go crazy, installing every tweak you see. Do some research first. I've been JB over a month now and only had 2 random reboots.

Good call. Forgot about that part. MTerminal works too. I would leave out the reboot part though and use the Substrate Fix app so you don't have to boot back into a jailbroken state again.

I suggest if you have another device like iPad or and older iPhone, to jailbreak that first and test your tweaks and soon when IPhone 7 jailbreak is officially released, you can use the same tweaks on the new phone without worries.

Now if you jailbreak the IPhone 7 and make a mistake, you may risk all the chances to jailbreak.

This is only my thought on this matter.

Well folks, I did it. iPhone 7 Plus jail broken.

I have an issue. If I tap respring in Cydia after installing a tweak my screen goes black for a very long time and then it reboots. Is there a better way to respring?

I thought is was better to enable substrate with a terminal command compared to the "substrate fix".

Obviously that's not true for iOS 10.1.1 if that's what you have been doing. I have not had any problems using Substrate Fix (iOS 10) to Respring my phone. Just do what you need to in Cydia and when the Restart Springboard button comes up in Cydia, just push the home button to get back to the home screen and use the Substrate fix icon to Respring and you are good to go.

I'm sorry. Maybe I read something and misinterpreted. I thought Luca said it's best to use terminal commands instead of respring fixes.

Terminal commands may fix some of the other respring options in other tweaks, but for whatever reason it doesn't fix the issue in Cydia. For example in Tage, if I pull down on the home screen in the task switcher and select to Respring, it works just fine.

Cool. I will give it a try. Thanks for your help.

Now that bratty kids and ?? pissed off the development of this.

1. If I jailbreak my 7 plus to the beta 3, does everything still work on the iPhone (Apple Pay, iwatch, iWatch apple pay, etc..)??

2. What are solid running tweaks you all find and what to avoid?

3. I want to invert the black and white, but not do it what is built in apple way. (eclips3 tweak , does this work?)

list of tweaks I used but are these working now ?
-Barrel
-cylinder
-speed intensifier
-Icleaner
-Ifile
-harbor
-spotlightbegone
-mobius
-numeric wifi enabler
-eclips3
-anchor
-auxo legacy edition

4. Have any of you done this, of course we would use 10.1.1 Blobs
If you saved your shsh2 Blobs
If you saved your device's .shsh2 blobs for 10.2 during the signing window, you may want to add your nonce to your NVRAM so you can restore back to 10.2 in case of a boot loop.

1. Open your .shsh2 blob using a text editor. Scroll to the bottom and look for the word "generator." Your nonce generator is the string of numbers and letters that follows. Copy that string or write it down.

2. SSH to your phone or use MTerminal to enter the following commands:

  • su

  • alpine (or your changed password)

  • nvram com.apple.System.boot-nonce=<your nonce generator>

  • nvram -p
3. After this is done, ensure that the top line is com.apple.System.boot-nonce=<your nonce generator>

4. Every time your phone reboots, you must re-execute these commands. For an semi-easier way, check out this tutorial.

More detailed tutorials are here and here.

Remember that you must execute these two commands every time you reboot your device!

Thanks to all!!!

Will jail breaking on 10.1.1 on my 7+ now cause any issues when the jailbreak is updated and made more stable in the future?

It shouldn't, but nobody really knows for sure. Most likely you will just side load the new IPA file instead of the current one and you will have the new jailbreak version if there ever is one.

I did the beta 3 on my iPhone 7 plus but I can not get iMessage to work even after trying those commands in, I tried 3 times

If I go into settings
then messaging,
then send & receive
my phone number is spinning and greyed out ?
any help please?

EDIT
well all I had to do was turn off and on iMessage and the phone number is no longer greyed out , now its checked and iMessage is working

EDIT #2
I had tried to use match portal several times to get jailbreak , it takes quite a few times it seems most, sometimes its 1st or 2nd time. I hope this is not like this all the time??

The JB for the 7 / 7 Plus which is 10.1.1 based, has been mentioned to stay away from, very buggy unfinished with numerous issues.

I have a 7 Plus that I forced stay on 10.1.1 and will wait for the gamma / stable JB release from Luca rumored to come out later next month.
