The company you work for can wait till the jailbreak is stable.

Much like all non-developers and most developers should.

Who said I'm a non-developer? BTW, thanks to a more helper person I now know the current JB is only supported on 6s and 7.

You've been tasked with jailbreaking a device and yet you didn't bother reading the release notes that Cydia isn't compatible with the jailbreak yet? Wow, glad you're not working for my company. LOL

(wonders how many lies this guy's resume has on it to have been hired for that job, lol)

Actually substrate is disabled. But ssh would be installed, which is what I was using to test the installation. Perhaps when you get out of your mothers basement and get a job you'll realise that sometimes people dumb things down for other to easily understand.

One can tell a lot from the things someone posts and how they post them. It's clear you're not a developer. VERY clear.

Your perception is astounding. Wow. Actually just saw your profile. IT admin - makes sense now.

I'm on 10.1.1. Can I still save blobs?
No. But once jailbroken IF you do/can later.
The APTicket maybe of use at a later point, maybe not but it would be worth making a backup of the file.
Should be able to find it system/library/caches
If I were you, at least save blobs for 10.2 now as they may also be useful later on
my 0.02c

Wouldn't I have to install 10.2?

I want to stay on 10.1.1

Well guys, unless they release a 10.2 jailbreak in the future, I'm outta the jailbreak crowd.

Phone died and so they gave me a replacement... with 10.2. :S #profoundsadness

Wow, jailbreaking has become such a rare thing to want to do anymore. Sad. I remember the old days (everything pre iPhone 7Plus) I jailbroke every device. Now I don't see much of a need. There are a couple things that would be nice, but nothing really amazing to justify the things you give up... stuff like when a new product comes out (like when the watch came out) or the earpods, etc... things that require certain versions... just kinda sad to see how small the community has become.

I came here to read about experiences, and expected that with the jailbreak having been out for 24 hours now I figured there'd be a flood of posts. Sad to see hardly any.

Wow, you make fun of him for not reading the the release notes but yet you think your post(top quote above) is okay. You obviously didn't read anything about the jailbreak either because if you had of you wouldn't be expecting to see loads of posts about us jailbreaking when it is not ready.

There have always been loads of people who JB before it's primetime ... or people who do a tethered JB and then whine about it being tethered. I've jailbroken every device I've owned prior to my 7Plus... so I'm well aware of the early moments of jailbreak.

Yawn... thanks for those eloquent comments in addition to your previous ones.

So is anyone here actually running this new beta JB on their iPhone 7 ?

Or is this way too risky and shady to actually install ?

@chriscowlee: went back to your first reply to this thread and for someone who is disappointed with how this thread started...why are you still here?

If you used to JB your phones and don't anymore, what is your point being here and then picking disputes with people? Move on already...

Everything to lose and nothing to gain by jumping to JB now at this early point...

Thanks, that's what I thought. What do you think of the rumors of an official JB release by the more famous guy coming the 25th Christmas ?

I don't follow the latest Twitters and such... so I don't know.

I'm content w/9.02 JB meanwhile and if JB for 10.x drops then I'll decide.

Who's the famous guy?
Geohot? :D

Well, i0n1c mentioned that someone else was going to release a iOS 10.2 jailbreak soon

But like most jailbreaks recently, we can't be sure what will happen in the future. I'd say jailbreak what can be jailbroken now (when it's stable), and move up when available. Who knows how long you would be waiting for if you went up just hoping for it to be released soon

As the current iOS 10(.1(.1)) Jailbreak uses the ABSE License, (Anyone But Stefan Esser aka i0n1c) I don't believe a word he says till it's proven. I personally think he's trying to steal thunder from Luca, Esser, much like Coolstar at times, is a troll.

I trust Luca as he's worked on the past few jailbreaks and has proven that jailbreaking every version of iOS out so far is possible.

Again this is my opinion. From being around the jailbreak scene and knowing some of these people personally.
