The full screen Now Playing view bug on the iPad Music app still hasn't been fixed. But that's hardly surprising at this point. Seems Apple is focusing all its energy into getting the TV app at least passably functional so they can push 10.2 to the public next week. All other bug fixes seem to be on hold until 10.3 if Apple decides to do one or iOS 11 otherwise.
I've seen you post about this issue, but I still don't understand, what the actual issue is. I only ask, because it seems to not be an issue for others.

Long time reader, first post.
Is anyone having issues with the Music app? In earlier versions of 10.2b any songs I downloaded to the iPhone 7 (ATT) were removed when I tried to play them, offline - either from iTunes Music, or iTunes Match (I am a subscriber to both). It can be a playlist or album track, doesn't seem to matter. The albums or playlists seem to stick for 24 to 36 hours, then all hell breaks loose and a pop up message appears to connect to wifi to play, then the entire downloads for the album or playlist are removed from the device, track by track.
So I restored the iPhone using iTunes and 10.2b3 or 4 (don't remember now), but after some time the same thing happened....Grrrrr.
So, again I restored via iTunes, this time to 10.1.1 - and redownloaded several albums and playlists. Again, after 18 hours they refused to play offline, and removed the downloads from the phone.
Eventually, I tried doing a DFU Restore to 10.1.1. Re-downloaded a few playlists and albums again, and tried over the next few days. It worked! So over the next several days, I downloaded my entire library, and several Apple Music Playlists. They are still there, and it is working....
Seems like the "database file" on the iPhone only gets erased with a DFU restore?

I would really like to go back to b7, but really don't want to have to deal with this again!! I know, if you load betas expect things to go wrong, that's what bugs are all about. I have been doing this since iOS 6, so it's not new to me. I enjoy it.

Just asking - has anyone else had this problem with the 10.2 beta's??

Stop expecting UI fixes people. It isn't going to happen with this version. It'll be iOS 10.3 or iOS 11 when these issues will be ironed out. They have more important things to look at than UI "bugs".

Very true....however I cant blame people for being annoyed as the past few years have brought many UI bugs in comparison to PRE-iOS 7 .

Every since the TV app came out, this has been my beta update workflow:

  1. Update to the latest beta
  2. Find the Videos.app has been removed from my "Entertainment" folder and is hiding on a 2nd page of apps.
  3. Move it back to the "Entertainment" folder on my first page of apps.
  4. Update to the latest beta
  5. Find the Videos.app has been moved.
  6. Lather
  7. Rinse
  8. Repeat
So weird that this keeps happening.

Why release a beta for that, when Apple said its coming in a new software update next week.
Think about what you just said.

10.2 has had GM build numbers for a few releases now. Combined with the rapid fire releases this week, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if 10.2 was released next week.

Apple said that the battery diagnostics was coming in an update next week.

I think you missed the point of my post. My point is exactly what you just said. They said a public release is coming next week with the battery diagnostic tool. So why release a beta with it? The diagnostic tool isn't going to be something that the public can use, its Apple's side. So I don't understand why they would need to send out a beta with that tool.

this was probably a last minute bug fix for the tv app or a security patch

Yet iTunes backup is still broken and so is the videos app that keeps moving out of folders and to the last page. Videos app I can live with, iTunes backup actually is a problem.

I just wonder what 10.3 is going to bring, probably one or two new features and a bunch of new bugs and they don't fix the old ones haha

Don't know how many of you are in U.K. Or will have this problem elsewhere.

Since this update all my iOS devices have had issues connecting to my 5ghz channel on my bt smart hub. Iv split both channels and certain websites aswell have these issues won't play films unless I go onto mobile network first then turn wifi on.

Anyone help me?

Please reply directly to this post so I get email to say it's been replayed to.

Thanks

Problem is, we probably won't see a beta until late Jan or early Feb. I just keep reporting this backup one because its really bad.

The same bug has reoccurred for me since the start of 10.2. If I have an Apple Music Curated Playlist saved offline, it is impossible to save songs from it to my Library. So, if the playlist gets updated, it's gone unless I remember the song name and go find it after it gets removed.

Even if I search manually for the song, it thinks I have it in my Library.

Some Curated Playlists even advertise in the description to "Push the + button to save a song you love before it's gone!" That's just salt in the wound on 10.2
Exact same issue, it is probably the most annoying bug I've seen for a while...! I've lost many good songs from this, also doesn't help that Apple removed the play history view in iOS 10, why we will never know.

Its truly incredible what a tiny little build change can do. Beta 5, fantastic battery life. Beta 6, a 1 point build change, relatively bad battery life compared to beta 5. Beta 7, a 2 point build change, as good, if not better battery life than beta 5.

I just spent a solid hour playing Real Racing and I lost 4%. Even on 10.1.1, 1 hour of real racing was 7% and that was good compared to 10.1 which saw 10% per hour drop.

Between beta 6 and 7, 6 is continuing to show improved battery life. Today was my day off from work, which means higher phone usage. Currently sitting at 65% with Bluetooth and wifi constantly on. Hopefully this continues!

And the funny thing is, 6 was horrible for me! I only had it for 2 days, but the 2 days were much worse than the 2 days with beta 5. Same exact usage all 4 days.

Just in time for the iOS 11 bugs to take their place.

Mlrollin91, we will be seeing the first beta of iOS 10.3 in the early January. Again, it should be followed like iOS 9.3 beta 1 did.
