This release seems to have fixed Verizon WiFi calling. The last update broke it for me. Cellular LTE/3G handoff is also much more reliable. Before I kept getting stuck on 1x instead of properly dropping to 3G.

See? Many was right - Apple screwed up iOS 10 power management and that's why phones shut down. Mostly they did that to "block" non-Apple cables to sync or charge properly.
Where has that been shown to be the case?

I have a 9.7 pro, and just traded in an Air 2. I don't recall ever seeing that bug. Maybe it's a combo of your device and an iOS update. Have you tried resetting settings?

I'll give it a shot this evening. I've also been having a bunch of iCloud related issues so maybe that will help with those too. I had been contemplating doing a full restore when 10.2 public drops next week. Thanks guys. I'll stop whining about this bug now haha!

This is the reason why I'm afraid to update past beta 6. My battery life has been absolutely incredible with beta 6. I've been getting 8 hours of usage, 16 hours of standby with 20-30% battery left by the time I plug in for the night. And that's consistent, every day since installing beta 6 is like that.

Previously I'd never been able to get more than 7-8 hours of usage with 10-11 hours of standby. No idea what beta 6 did, but I'm loving it.

And this is why I use Spotify. Always reliable and haven't had a single glitch like that in years of use. That bug would drive me insane.

I keep seeing this, "that battery life on beta 6 was incredible". Its so weird to me that others are having that experience when beta 6 was absolutely horrible for myself. Beta 5 and beta 7 have been the best battery life I have seen with my 7Plus and beta 6 was one of the worst builds for battery life.

So maybe they fixed the Siri thing? On 10.1.1 I have to disable Siri to get decent battery life, even when not using it. Enabled is 5 percent drain overnight, but another 5 percent within a few minutes of usage, but disabled is 2 percent drain overnight with 1 percent usage within 5 minutes.

I have to agree. b6 and b7 have the best iOS10 battery life by far.

Agreed!

Set phone down on the counter and it switches orientation

Doesn't that just mean that the counter isn't 100% level? I have this issue with my desk, but I know my desk is not 100% level, so its not an issue..? Or am I missing something.

Additionally, sometimes when you put the phone down you slide your hand from beneath it, which gives it a tilt, which then causes the orientation to change. My iPad does this as well.

anyone having issues where they are unable to lock their phone during a call?

Yes it was already there on b5 , during a phone call (with a headset) if you use , say , Safari, if you push power then the phone goes back to the call screen , and if you push again to turn off the screen then it's almost impossible to turn it on again.

On Ios 10.1 , you could push the power button anytime to turn the screen off and again.

I'm glad you mentioned that. I've been seeing this problem with my iPhone 6s plus. It started with iOS 9.something.

I'll be using an app, as normal, in portrait mode and, when I return to the Home Screen, it suddenly rotates to landscape for NO reason.

Does it then snap back to portrait mode?
