iOS 10 beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes and Performance Improvements

Replying to my own post, as I've just noticed something semi-interesting.
On apps where I'm experiencing delays changing tabs (app store, itunes, 1password), if I turn the device to landscape ( assuming the app supports it), the delays disappear, and everything works as it should.

The one thing that annoys me is that when the device ReSprings, it wipes out your usage and standby values in Battery.
Update: People in photos loaded! About 5 people finally showed up, so it really only scanned about 10 photos so far!
I noticed that when on lock screen if you go right and search calculator and click on it and then pull down notifications and then click on a notification or for example the calendar a different darker looking keyboard appears (and I don't have any keyboard apps) and doesn't go away unless you go to another search field, is the darker keyboard new to iOS 10,(I feel like I have seen it somewhere) or was it there before? either way though it appearing and then staying even when you unlock the phone is a bug.

Gotta say the beta is very smooth (minus the bugs).
The animations/transitions are smooth, apps launch quicker, etc.

I still can't believe how stable this beta is.. ha, 10 is looking very promising.
Finally got Faces in my photos up and running. Pretty good at the facial recognition -- grouped everybody in their appropriate category, except a few pictures with some age differences.
Still can't get locations in Places to show up, but I don't know if that's a beta issue or if synced photos usually don't show up in Places anyway.
I had the App Store issue a while last night where no featured apps would load, or just the app name would load, but no description, review or rating, etc. That seems to have resolved itself for me.
Loving the notification redesign, especially the ability to clear all notifications with a 3D touch press, rather than having to go through the entire notification list by category.
This is minor, but I've noticed now on the status bar, for the carrier and data info, when on carrier, it shows"Verizon LTE" as in > iOS 10, but when connected to Wi-Fi, it shows "VZW W-Fi" and the Wi-Fi logo, as opposed to < iOS10, where it just showed the Wi-Fi logo and carrier name.

I found a weird issue in the Maps > Transit settings. All of the text values show "Localized string not found".
Anyone else seeing this too? I did report it to Apple.

When you open an app and immediately click the Home button the app shuts instantly. Hopefully they can improve the time it takes when opening an app. (Yes, I know, it's a beta, but seriously, one of the most stable beta's I have ever ran.)
Anyone annoyed that the split screen where you can browse apps that are compatible with split screen / slide over (or what ever it is called) still has no easy way to search for an app. You have to scroll through the ever growing list of apps that you want to show on the right and I haven't found the order they are in yet. Would be nice if tapping the top would show a search function like most other places.

Is anyone else having issues with apps updating? It worked fine for me 2 days ago but now everytime it's done downloading its asking to update again.
There seems to be a bug in the voice settings for Siri. You can do what appears to change the voice but has no effect.
Signing in and out the App Store and using the 'Update All' button seemed to fix it for me.
Update All also doesn't work, alas.... The download progress "pie" remains empty, not even a tiny slice.
I can't help but think it's also tied to the failures to check for software update, like my attempts to connections are refused.
Two things. Firstly there are two ways to clear out all notifications if you have a 6s or 6s Plus, either 3D Touch on the "X" to bring up the option to clear all or simply press the "X" twice.
And if you zoom in far enough in Maps, the weather (and sometimes the air quality) will be displayed at the bottom-right.

Ugh. Why does Apple insist on making their photo albums non-deletable? It was tolerable with iOS 9 when you had the list view but now they've added "People" and "Places" into the albums folder too.
I like creating my own albums for different things, having all of Apples there too just makes it cluttered and annoying to scroll through everytime I want to find something. They could at least let you place your own albums on top of the ones that you're forced to have.

Wallet app still blinds you with brightness upon opening the app. (I know this is present in iOS 9, hope it'd be fixed however.)
Also noticed the copy and paste tools are more consistent, tap once and they'll appear, in iOS 9 they can be awkward.

It turns the brightness up by design so you can scan barcodes etc.. without an issue
