11.01 has made both my devices a bit more stable.

I’ll watch from the sidelines this beta go around, or maybe not. :D

I used iTunes, and I actually do close all apps in the App Switcher before any update. Never heard of someone else who does that too haha but cool. Maybe there is some sense to my insanity. I don’t do the “turn off for a minute after updating.” What does that do other than a restart? Cool down?
Here too! Always close apps, reboot then update. Especially if doing OTA update. Seem to never have issues that others report. Started way back when email accounts seemed to get hung up during an update and would cause usage and battery drain afterwards. Just makes since to not update with apps trying to run :)

Started doing that after you told me about that last time we chatted about my OTAs always failing me. (I always closed out apps before, but never rebooted). So far so good this time around!

Here’s a bug that’s been present since at least the GM and was not fixed in 11.0.1: when using 3D Touch on Settings icon to shortcut to the WiFi screen, the “Choose a network” section doesn’t activate and available SSIDs won’t ever show up. You must first take some action like toggle WiFi or select “Other” and cancel back out. Then the activity spinner is visible and SSIDs start showing up.

Interesting. Will try this next time. Thanks for tip!

I don’t get any on my 6s Plus. Selective update and ignores certain devices?

This is what I also wonder.

This is a public release. If you partaken in the beta program, you will need to remove the profile, restart and update. You can update using iTunes without removing the profile.

My iPad Air 2 is a disaster. Its sitting at 100% CPU usage and every single thing is crashing. It refuses to sync with iTunes. The entire system is fully unresponsive. PROBLEM!

One thing I’ve been having an issue with is the Music app in landscape. When viewing Artists the list is very spaced out and when tapping into albums the track list doesn’t have enough space. This starts to throw the whole app off the more I do it and then makes the whole Artist-Albums-Tracklist tab view start to get very buggy. This happened on 10.3.3 when I first got the 10.5. Then with 11 and still 11.0.1. iOS 11 was clean installed as well.

When “Settings” is not in app switcher and I launch it in landscape mode, I briefly see a black screen before it loads.

In portrait mode, it doesn’t do this behavior.

Wasn’t doing this in 11.0

Anybody experiencing this on iPad Pro 10.5 and 11.01? Thanks.
Not having this problem after the update on my 10.5 Pro. Try resetting settings like another poster recommended.

I wonder if you have a hardware issue. You’ve had problems throughout the betas with that device, right?

Yes, but iOS 11.0 GM was pretty much perfect compared to the betas.

This device literally just hates OTA.

The 2017 iPad is heating less and seeing an improving in performance. Battery life seems a little better too.

Have you tried a force restart?
Yeah like a dozen of them. Every single time I plug it into iTunes, it resprings. Looks like I am setting this device up as new again. Too bad iTunes now makes it annoying as hell to reinstall my 100 apps.

My app switcher animation isn't right. When sliding through the list of open apps it's as if they are stuck in sand. They are slow to swipe through. I can only swipe and reach the next app, instead of swiping through a few apps at a time. Anyone else have this issue? fix other than a reinstall?

I reset all settings earlier and all is well now. I did both devices and they are running great.

Looks like there's slight increased in performance on Geekbench on 7

Doesn’t look like this home button lag will ever be fixed. I really want to upgrade to X just to get rid of it. The phone is just so damn sluggish on iOS 11.

Then you will complain that there is "swipe up" lag.

There is more of a swipe up lag on my Air 2, than there is home button lag on my 8 Plus.
