Then you will complain that there is "swipe up" lag.

There is more of a swipe up lag on my Air 2, than there is home button lag on my 8 Plus.
Everything on my Air 2 lags on iOS 11 that’s why I upgraded to IPad Pro but even that has stutters on iOS 11 hence I kept it on iOS 10 and it will stay that way till iOS 11 has zero stutters.

Doesn’t look like this home button lag will ever be fixed. I really want to upgrade to X just to get rid of it. The phone is just so damn sluggish on iOS 11.
Just like all kinds of things back in 10.0 days were similarly predicted to be something that would never be fixed...all while 10.3 is praised as some example of perfection these days.

This is what Apple wants. Spend 1000+ $ every year for new phone, because making last year model bugged. If you buy X then you are in trouble next year.

Everything does not lag on an Air 2 running iOS 11. I had virtually no issues with 11.0. I am having issues right now with 11.0.1 because I had a bad install. But once I restore, I'm sure everything wi;; be dandy.

 Oh please, do we really need to bring conspiracy theories into an improvements and change thread?

Virtually every animation on iPad Air 2 has stutters and it’s not so bad on iOS 10. Also restored every device I own at least 3 times and it makes no difference.

You should read the other thread where I stated that I unfortunately am lucky enough to suffer from chronic migraines. My chronic migraines can easily be set off by choppy animations because it tweaks my sensitive eyes. I can spot the smallest instances of lag and stutter, and I can tell you that no, not everything on an Air 2 stutters. Believe me if you want, I don't really care if you do or don't. But, to claim everything stutters is just false.

It’s also possible I can notice these stutters easily because I am used to my Pro’s 120hz screen where the performance is flawless on iOS 10.

Ever thought of using reduced motion?

Yeah. I have used it in the past, but iOS 10 kind of changed how it works and it doesn't mesh well with me personally. iOS 11 is a little bit better, its not as sudden. But, iOS 10 wasn't doing it for me. I may go back to using it. This is the first time I have even attempted it on iOS 11. Its definitely smoother in comparison.

Magnifier still hangs up or doesn’t work, or can’t exit once it does work. Didn’t work in 11 and the same in 11.01. I actually use the damn thing all the time! This is lame.

I’m guessing it may go away with the X any way since triple Home button won’t work.

I'm running into a reproducible problem in iOS 11(.0.1). If I take a marked up screenshot on one iOS device, then when the photo downloads onto another via iCloud Photo Library, the Photos app continues to show "downloading original" forever. The only way to get rid of that is to delete the screenshot and then kill and restart the photo app.

I think the problem is that I have iOS set to "Download and Keep Originals" photos and this seems to not work well with marked-up screenshots. Regular screenshots and photos work fine. This doesn't break IPL as photos will still upload and download, but it may cause other problems like battery issues.

I played with the 8+ in the store for an hour and there was no home button “lag “.
Ah, but don't forget Apple add more memory and a faster processor to display models to lure you into buying one :p

Seriously, though, 11.0.1 is super smooth on my 8 Plus and a big improvement on my iPad Air 2 (which was already pretty smooth with 11.0 GM).

When will they fix the damn battery drainage...
What battery drainage? Battery life is no different on any of my devices with iOS 11.

My iPad Air 2 is running just fine - very smooth here.

Mine seems fine too. The only weird animation I have is swiping to clear notifications often jerks and skips a lot of frames, instead of smoothly swiping. Haven't noticed anything like that elsewhere.

Battery life seems to have improved, not as much as 10.3.3 but better. 11.0 used to be down to 62% at this time. It’s 77% with 11.0.1 and 85% with iOS 10.3.3. Apple finally did something right.

I will update if it’s starts draining again.

And just like the 9.0 days and 8.0 days, we see this every year, lol

FWIW, my iPhone 7’s battery life was really good on IOS 10 and is noticibly better on IOS 11. Very happy with it.
With today’s update the phone has gotten even smoother and nicely quick. Glad I updated:)

So far the battery life on my iPhone 7 is amazing although i had a good battery life on ios 11 as well but this update has made it much better
