There's a tonne of stuff to sift through, but pretty sure it's not there;
Maybe it's an issue with all 10.5' iPads? Can any other 10.5' iPP users confirm they've got the GM?

Saw one poster say it's possible to update via iTunes, maybe that's my only option at this stage?
Anyone know of a good tute/how-to for that???

I have the 10.5" iPad Pro, and installed the GM yesterday via the OTA process. No issue at all. I was on the latest PB at the time.

Weird, gives me hope that a fix will happen eventually. It genuinely makes my iPad feel so outdated like he says. Shame.
Use gestures always laggy when closing apps
Since you mentioned gestures, I tried closing an app with with the pinch gesture. I’d say there is indeed a slight lag. Haven’t noticed that one since I always use the home button.

I’d forgotten that this iOS is supposed to have a revamped file system. I went from having 1 GB of remaining space to having 7. Impressive!
? APFS came with iOS 10.3. There's no new filesystem in 11.

Sounds like you had 6GB of diagnostics and logs which were removed during the GM install!

After almost 24 hours running iOS 11 GM on my iPhone 7 Plus and iPad 2017, I can report excellent performance on both devices. Fluid, responsive and a smooth experience. Battery is stellar so no complaints there. Certainly far a better experience than last year's initial iOS 10 GM.

hi, i am using ipad pro 9'7. from beta 1 to GM, my ipad is always laggy when closing all apps while using gestures. when using the home button feels slower than usual. even when multitasking also feels laggy

does anyone experience the same thing with me on your iPad Pro ?
Yes. Happens on all my devices, most prominent being the home button delay. I keep downgrading and upgrading every now and then and nothing comes close to the silky smooth feeling which iOS 10 provides. I also have a ProMotion iPad and the framedrops are drastically more noticeable.

No point posting here though. This thread is for posting how great, smooth and perfect iOS 11 is and if you have a problem its on you.

So far since the reset and restore. Things are fast again and snappy. Apps load fast too and no graphical glitches. The only thing I see coming back is the force touch stutter, and scrolling through the list of apps under cellular, and storage, is still stuttering. Otherwise I recommend everyone do a reset and restore. I did the extreme of going back to iOS 10 then upgrading to GM then restoring.

So far to me. Apps are opening much faster on the iPhone 7 Plus than previous beta. Animations in Notification Center with alot of notifications is smoother finally.

The only bug or new issue I see for me is the stutter when selecting pictures in a message convo.

See that here:

Anyone seeing the same? If not I’ll do a reset and restore.

Just did a reset and restore. Let’s see how it will behave now. Data still restoring so I’ll report back.

Have to admit I really appreciate the new near by detect restore during setup feature. It’s really smart compared to the Android solution.

Yeah no issues with the widget updating.

No home button delay?

Which model do you have? My iPhone 7 flash supports all 4 modes.
I'm guessing the iPod touch is the only iOS 11 device which has a flash but doesn't have the multiple LED True Tone flash. That's probably why it's different. All four modes work but the highest two look the same.

Does anyone have a problem with 3d touch to respond to a message within the notification center drop screen? On the lock screen when I try to 3d touch the notification it plays the live photo behind the notification!

Just checked after not doing so for a few hrs and it's there now! Go figure. Might do a full reset and restore in the next few days, see how I go first.

Same issue here with weather and location services.

Do you have wifi on?

Can i make a backup at GM and restore ist on iOS 11 when it officially released?

Yes.

Hmmmm, makes no difference here. I just quit the camera from the task switcher, tried again and still all works fine.

Same here. At first I saw the same bug. But when I opened the take portrait by force touching the icon on the home screen. I had got a first time use prompt. Once I hit continue. No more issues launching it via control center and force touch even after killing the camera app.

Sometimes my widgets become ‘Unable to load’ is that a known issue or new? Did not see it on iOS 10

iPhone SE Updated iOS 11 via iTunes

Only happens with one or two apps usually. The developers got to update their app. So far it hasn’t happened to me since iOS 11.

No home button delay?

Yes that’s still there. But most times I forget about it. It’s on all my devices.

I have not noticed any improvements in GM over beta 10. I think we'll the usual optimizations with 11.1 alongside iPhone X. There is a slight delay when closing/opening apps which makes my 7Plus slower than my wife's 7Plus running iOS 10.3.3. It's not a huge deal, but disappointing nonetheless. This delay plus the 3DTouch glitches are the most noticeable issues. Otherwise it's pretty fluid and smooth, in some cases even more so than 10.3.3 but again, it's not consistent across the board.

IOS got the new file system in 10. High Sierra is getting the new file system this time.

I wasn't... I was opening CC, selecting camera, switching to portrait.

However, just tried what was in the video and I get the expected outcome... the camera opens and portrait mode is already selected and waiting for me to snap the pic.
The portrait mode wont open for me on 7Plus clean GM install from force touch in control center.

Try it on the camera icon on the home screen first. Then hit continue then try from the control center.

I think I'm going to be brave and install in my IP7! I've installed the profile and initially said I would reboot later.

Is it straight forward to go back to 10 if required?
