so on iOS 10 if previews are off, you can still preview the message by swiping down on notification center to view the contents of the message without opening it
Ah ok I see. Seems that if previews were off in iOS 10 and you could still preview them then that was a bug :) I remember turning off previews in previous iOS versions and always had to unlock the device to read them. See the next post regarding the options. I bet that will accomplish what you are after.

Seriously. Only 4 days since I did a reset and restore. And I must declare this beta GM unfit. Still seeing graphical issues. Want to see a reproducible one? Swipe down notifications center and scroll down until one of the notification is behind the notification bar, and on any notification, attempt to swipe away but pause. You’ll see part of notification bar disappear.

As for battery life. I’d show you that but I had another respring today when I pulled down notifications, and while on a call too. The call stayed.

As for other issues. Still seeing stutters here and there. Random freezes there and over there. Battery life is so so but it’s now getting me through the day again. Ended with 20% where usually on iOS 10 it would be 40%.

Bluetooth is reliable again. So that’s good.

Auto correct is a bit weird at times.

Performance is great. Bugs are minor. Battery life is OK. So I can work with this for now. The next point release is around the corner. So no use complaining. I’ll just report anything new to Apple where possible.
Yeah there are some quirky behaviors for sure. Mostly with the UI like the items you mentioned. I remember iOS 8.0 though on a release day iP6 and it was a mess. If I recall it was a lot worse than this one and wasn't really stable until 8.1 or so (maybe one of the 8.0.x). Seems to be the way it is for x.0 releases unfortunately.

I don’t know if ive just never noticed it before, but there’s a new share sheet interface go Twitter. Also battery life is being really bad. Low Power mode seemingly has no effect.

Not sure when it was added back, but I can now search for the music Eq in the settings app. It was last seen in iOS 9. I also just noticed Eq can be searched in Spotlight too.

How do you report bugs in iOS 11 GM without the feedback app? Tried the site and highest iOS level I can select is iOS 10.3.3.

So I am not seeing the unidentified persons under the people tag. Sometimes get the updating people tag and sometimes nothing. But i can’t see the unidentified persons. Anybody else with the same issue?
Guys nobody has this issue or what? How do I select the unidentified people in peoples tab.

I factory reset and restore days ago. Two things more I’m still seeing...

The messages read bug.
Usually happens when you take your phone out of airplane mode and receive some sms and iMessages that were sent while in that mode. When you force close the app it shows the messages unread correctly.

Bluetooth disconnects.

Connected my beats X. Played music via Tune In. My beats x kept disconnecting and reconnecting once an hr. Rebooted the phone. It seemed to stop doing that. But it still happens randomly.

Damn for real. I don’t know why Apple hasn’t learn after all these years. I mean come on. It seems the software team has gotten really lazy and comfortable sadly.

I recommend anyone who experience issues to restore and erase all contents like did. My 6S runs flawlessly now.

I could be imagining this but...I installed the GM late last night on my iPhone 7 Plus, and at first it was really laggy and scrolling wasn't smooth. All of a sudden today, the damn thing is FLYING fast. Faster than 10 was. Scrolling is fluid and apps open almost instantly. I am impressed at the moment, we'll see if this lasts. Anyone else notice this?

Normally, after installing any beta, it takes the system about couple hours to settle down before you see the full effect.

The way it works now is rather than showing zillions of ‘unidentified people’, you go look at the actual pictures and swipe down to see who it has identified. See someone you want to name then do so and it gets added to the list.

Basically what we should have been doing - when we take new pictures look at the recent ones and ID the people you want identified.

The new ML algorithms are vastly improved and the phone is continually rescanning your database when you have it plugged in, on WiFi and locked (usually at night). I continually find that it has found old pictures that include faces it has missed before.

This ability to ML analyze your Photo database is the great ‘unrecognized’ feature of 10 and now improved in 11. I have over 56K photos being continually cataloged on my phone with great Memories pictures it generates, every picture of any relative I have as digital content to show them and myself.

I’m rather sceptical about this. Considering doing it on my 7+. GM runs pretty well but still some stuttering and slowdowns.

Anyone else done this with good results?

Btw anyone know what this continuing circle animation is at the top left next to the WiFi icon? It only occurs on the home screen.

7 Plus DFU no restore here;
My battery life was exceptional, however the whole system stuttered, had home button lag.
