That is your experience and certainly not mine. My iPhone 7 Plus is running iOS 11 perfectly with great performance, fluid, smooth and stellar battery life. You either have a wonky iPhone or some rogue darknet app killing your iPhone. Perhaps it's time to try an alternative platform?

Tech radar on twitter keep banging on about WiFi and Bluetooth toggles doing nothing in control centre... is this the case??

It’s the same pattern for a number of iOS versions now—over-exaggerate issues when the initial x.0 releases come out and some early follow ups to them and then essentially praise the later updates and use them as some sort of example of perfection to compare against the next x.0 version to over-exaggerate once again.

You need to go into settings to really turn them off. Seems a step backwards to me in IOS 11.
Is this really a big deal for some of you? It isn't for me, but I know some of you want to preserve every last erg in your batteries (not judging!!).

Does anyone else have issues with iMessage not syncing between Macs and iPhones? My Mac has been receiving text messages today, but my iPhone hasn't. I got messages on my iPhone this morning but nothing since 9am. Tried to deactivate and reactivate iMessage but doesnt help.

Yes - intermittently. Ever since updating to iOS 11 I don't know whether the iMessage is going to appear on my iMac or my iPhone (or watch). If I'm away from the iMac it always seems to go to my iPhone but, sitting at my iMac, it usually appears on that.

Anyway, I'm getting an 8 Plus tomorrow and will be installing from scratch rather than restoring from backup so I'm hoping that will fix it...

Yeah, it's odd. I've been on the betas for a little while and never had the issue. Wasn't until the GM that it happened

Updated to GM a few days ago, up until then and all the way through the betas my 6S worked fine...now as of these last few days the phone is constantly crashing, getting stuck in Apps (WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter are the worst), and shutting itself down. I literally can’t cope with this...

Did Apple remove the ability to exit an app before its even loaded ? in iOS 10 you didn't have to wait the animation to complete, but I don't see it in iOS 11

I just tried on a 7+. I can quite easily quit an app before the animation has completed.

really ? I just clean installed iOS 11 on my SE because I was having lag and bad battery life, thought it would also fix that but it is still happening...

Probably, in order of severity: -

- Hard restart (hold power and home until it dies)
- Reset All Settings
- Erase all Content and Settings and restore a backup
- Erase all Content and Settings and do not restore a backup
- DFU Recovery to fresh iOS 11 GM image and restore a backup (this one might be interchanged in severity with the prior one, depending on how much you’d have to set up)
- DFU Recovery to Fresh iOS 11 GM image and do no restore a backup
- DFU Recovery to 10.3.3 and restore an archived backup if you have one, or start fresh

Sorry you’re having severe issues. Not fun.

I just tried it on my iPP 9.7, as it has a physical button like your SE, and I definitely found it a lot more challenging to do so. I think I got it maybe 3-4 times out of twenty attempts.

I must admit I’ve never really seen the big deal on it since I very, very rarely open an app and decide to quit it 1/4 of a second later but I guess there’s something, I don’t know to how to say it, that provides a physicality? A solidity maybe when it does work? Not ragging on your desire for it - it probably ought to work.

I have not looked at detailed usage (because it is charging again) but my perception is that my effective battery performance on my IPP 12.9 S1 is down considerably since I installed iOS 11 on it. I don’t normally need to charge it every day but this is the 2nd consecutive day the battery has become quite low. I might be using it a bit more but definitely not 10 hours worth.

You see I don’t mind this latest change with the new way WiFi is turnt off. I just hate that when I disable auto join from control center the option doesn’t stick. It auto enables auto join again after some time and before I know I see WiFi connected. I hate that because it’s a slow ass WiFi network I’m on it affects my music that I’m streaming. It eventually leads me to turn WiFi off completely.

iPad Pro Smart Keyboard still continues to not connect or work. Have to fully restart device until it randomly stops working again. Extremely frustrating as a student.
