People praising Apple for fixing their product, but why isn't there more anger about the state it was released in in the first place? Every year (and every software release ever) there are some bugs that need ironing out in a first major update and that's fair enough. But this year was different, iOS 11.0 was a slap in the face to loyal customers. But the product only just becoming what it should have been in the first place and people are celebrating - that's why Apple know it can do it, "Ah let's just get it out, we can fix it in a few months".

Because sh*t happens? At least Apple is taking steps to fix it unlike the green guy

Found a subtle change.

When Auto Brightness is toggled on, Display Accommodations now displays as “On” when viewing from the Accessibility screen.

Previously showed as off, unless you had another Display Accommodation setting turned on.

Of course it's back, it's a beta and you're supposed to provide feedback

I know its SUPPOSED to be there and it's for providing feedback. problem is that it hasn't always been there throughout the betas (at least for me) it seemed to come and go with different builds.

As far as I know, it shows up when you have the beta profile installed, the only way I have seen it removed is with stable releases

No changes to the notification feature? It was easy to look at a text notification within another app (preview off) by simply swiping down. Now you have the stupid notification center (which looks like the lockscreen) pop up or have to press down on the notification to read the message. Sometimes I simply just want to quickly see what the person messaged me without having to respond at the moment. Apple always changes a few minor things around that just pisses everyone off.

Scheduled fetch and notifications for favorited folders has also been disabled in iOS 11.

Another possible change that may have been in 11.0.1 or a late 11.0 beta that I didn’t notice: when tapping the Home kit icon in control center, you now get the same pop up widget as you do with a force-press. Previously, a force-press got you the widget but a plain tap brought you into the Home app.

Not entirely true. The feedback app is only in the beta builds except GM and you don’t need the beta profile unless you want to do OTA updates. I’ve never install the beta profiles since the first beta of iOS 11 since I hate and had bad experiences with OTA in previous betas prior to 11.

So... how do we downgrade back to iOS 11.0.1

Turn off iPhone, connect device while holding down home for older and newer like 7 hold volume down while device boots. Select update and it will fetch the latest public released iOS

Public beta out!

Finally! This is the only way I can update my TVOS without Xcode and connecting to a Mac!

I’m assuming I’d lose my data or would I be able to keep it?

well it says i need to restore it first so thats out of the question

You can download the full IPSW for your respective device here https://ipsw.me/ and have your device connected. Use iTunes tap "check for updates" while holding down shift key for pc and options for mac and it will bring up a menu to select the firmware for iOS 11.0.1. Make sure to remove beta profile first though.

I did the shift update method to return back to 11.0.1 and I continue to have lag issues within Camera when doing 4K video.
