People praising Apple for fixing their product, but why isn't there more anger about the state it was released in in the first place? Every year (and every software release ever) there are some bugs that need ironing out in a first major update and that's fair enough. But this year was different, iOS 11.0 was a slap in the face to loyal customers. But the product only just becoming what it should have been in the first place and people are celebrating - that's why Apple know it can do it, "Ah let's just get it out, we can fix it in a few months".

Because that's basically the reality of sodteware.

iOS11 worked better than the latest version of iOS10 in my case (iPhone 6), so it definitely wasn’t slap in my face. I’m actually very happy with it.

Im getting the music icon dimmed, it has happened in several betas, and the final versions. Its annoying.

I have my Safari app where you have your Music app, and my Safari app dims quite often. I believe it happens when swiping up to access control center. I’m guessing it happens to whichever app is in that slot because iOS thinks you’re tapping the app while you’re swiping up for the control center.

This is why I think annual software releases is bad, there are fewer reasons to justify a major release every year as smartphones are very mature at this point. Adding new features while avoiding bugs/regressions in such as short timeframe is painful for the developers and sometimes all I want is a more stable and refined version of last year's stuff.

Could anyone that has experienced in 11.0 and 11.0.1 the Apple Music notifications bug ( where they aren't any options to turn them on, just your pic and profile ) confirm if the bug is still present in 11.1 ?

Cheers

Anyone see this bug? Reachability in front of the dock instead of behind.

Whoop I have an iPhone X without a notch!

However in all seriousness I now have the iPhone X home bar on my keyboard, and nope it doesn’t work I have tried it’s just a static bar at the bottom of the screen when the keyboard is up.

I have Messages in that spot and get a dimmed icon sometimes too. It’s definitely something that that specific spot. Launching it and closing it makes it normal again. (It’s happened all through the betas)

They should turn iOS into a service model like Windows 10 which no longer has annual releases.
They should do this on macOS as well. Yearly release have no sense now because year after year we have a public release not so ready and a proper version of their current OS in late spring just a couple of months before their new major release..

Anyone’s iPhone overheating a lot more with 11.1? My battery has gone way worse as well imo. 13 minutes usage and I’m already down to 98%... usually 25 minutes of usuals is enough to take it down to 99%. Oh well, let’s hope I’m able to preorder the X next month

Not sure if reported, but when you open a app within a folder, close it, and swipe right, the icon briefly leaves the folder.

Maybe because for most people everything was just fine?
