iOS 11.1 Beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes and Improvements

Seeing far worse performance in this beta. Only 4g working. I toggle it to off and then voice and data and it stays on 4g. I've also gotten a gray bar across all apps a few times. Only a reboot fixes it.

Can someone with iphone 7 or 8 plus check of the bug for burst shot is still there in this beta? Burst shot is save as jpeg instead of heif (.heic) even though the settings is Hogh Efficiency?

Steps to recreate:

Take a picture in burst shot.
Check the format in an exifviewer app in your iphone.
 
Anyone else getting this in apps when on a phone call? It happens in every app I've opened. Using a 256GB 8 Plus.

few hours now with 11.1 and after i saw hope now its gone, nothing that great in this release doesnt seem much faster and why cant they just sort out the dam 3d touch lag wow how hard can it be do we really have to wait for 11.3.2 now and its good to see so many others seeing the same issues i been seeing the home delay is getting better but i just expect more
 
Holy moly! The animations are much, much better. After opening an app, double clicking into app switcher and that app doesn’t refresh any longer. Things are moving much quicker as well. Phone feels much more solid. Good job by Apple.

That’s never been the case for me. It’s always remained fixed, at least for 3+ beta updates (so 3+ weeks vs just hours you’re getting)

Make sure you have location services on and any other setting it may require.

Been there, done that. ;) Thanks for the suggestion though.

First beta. Later betas will no doubt fix more. Give it time.

Perhaps if the “fix” is so easy you should email them the code to do so. I bet they would hire you on the spot for being the iOS saviour.

The problem for me was Reduce Motion. I always have it on. Turned it off and everything works fine again. Just a beta bug.

If you have Reduce Motion on, turn it off. That's what solved it for me.
 
iPhone 7 Plus / iPad Pro 10.5

I can easily say 11.1 beta 1 is far better than 11.01, on both my devices. Very pleased.

Anyone notice charging is much slower. I had my phone on the charger for a long drive and was expecting a full battery but it was only at 94%.

I already had it turned off. That's okay though.
