iOS 11.1 Beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes and Improvements

is the charging bug still in 11.1 beta 1 for 7 plus? when after the phone shuts down from dead battery, plug it in to charger, itll get somewhere between around 4% ~ 15% then itll do a single vibration/sound + screen will wake, the same one as when its plugged into power. doesnt happen on ios 10. my anker charger has a led on it indicating charge activity, when its happens the led stays bright green & doesnt go blue or even dim green, so the phone doesnt actually stop charging.

-using default apple cable, its in good condition
-happens with default apple charger (1A)
-happens with anker powerport 2 charger (2x usb 2.4A each)
-happens when plugged into pc (0.5A)
-only happens after its plugged in after battery dies, if its plugged in before it shuts off, doesnt happen
-restore as new does nothing, as usual, its been tried

People should just recognise there is a problem - other companies wouldn't get away with shipping, I don't know, an unfinished car then upgrading it later. And my problem isn't with the issues - my problem is with them not finishing the product. Issues and bugs in .0 releases are normal in software so of course I wouldn't complain about that - it's releasing a product that isn't finished that is the issue.

3D Touch on Apple news app still broken.
It doesn’t resize to fit so just disappears. If font size is small, it works. Lol.

I thought it would be the yearly stutter that last year’s model always gets, but it’s also there on the 8 and 8 plus. But then again, when the 6 Plus launched it also suffered from bad stuttering.

you mean a car like the tesla model 3, which doesn't support bluetooth streaming or FM radio until a software update that will come later? ;)

some people prefer to get things earlier. noone is forcing you to buy/install it right away and you can wait until it's finished....

Two questions, has anybody tried this build with carplay and did anybody have any issues with the last build on carplay? 11.0 gm build caused my kenwood to have issues, it would often show just a black screen while still playing music and when it was displaying the screen it wouldn't update the album artwork after each song. After rolling back it works perfectly so I know it's the ios, not the radio.

I got this a few times on 11.0/11.0.1 using an official apple 12W charger with an Amazon basics 3 ft lightning cable, and it would happen regardless of whether the phone died or not - it would come up even if I plugged it in at 35% for ex. After 11.1 I haven't had this issue yet, but I'll let you know if it does happen.

Can someone please explain what the the “splash screen” update is? I can’t figure out what the heck that is referring to

If you're referring to the Music.app one, it's the splash screen that you see the first time you open the app informing you about Shuffle and Lyrics being hidden. In 11.1 it shows up higher on the screen so as to reveal the hidden settings at the bottom.
 
Control centre stutters when pulled up from the now playing screen in the music app on my 7+
 
Does anyone experiencing a severe heat when watching online video clips in safari?
 
I loaded 11.1 b1 on my wife’s iPad Air 2 and big difference in animations. Much better than 11.01. Running real well.

Hi there. Yes I had the same issues in my Mercedes command radio with iOS 11.0 and also with iOS 11.0.1. I’m running iOS 11.1 beta 1 right now and in this build it seems to be fixed. I can see the title that’s playing and all of the other specs, everything like it used to be with iOS 10

Can anyone with iPad Pro 10.5" tell me whether there were as many frame drops on iOS 10.3 as iOS 11 on this device? I got mine a few days ago, never experienced it on iOS 10.x.
 
Good battery life or not ? iPhone 7 Plus
