I just don't know why I can't get the beta profile to install on my phone. I tried again today, even had the back up and all that, but it still doesn't work. I do miss the feedback button!

If you're a dev, download the beta IPSW and update using iTunes. You don't need the profile unless you're a public beta tester. Do you have a dev account?
No I don't. I thought there was a public beta testing profile. I had it on my other phone but when I got my 8, it went away.
Did tinder make you lol like the prepubescent kid you are? Cute
It was fine on my iPhone, but my battery became worse, either because my phones battery is just terrible or due to the beta, plus my phone heated up way more than it should've beenSo you must be a fan the wonderfully efficient Windows 10 November Update, Anniversary Update, Creators Update, Fall Creators Update? Yeah that’s worked really well for Microsoft. Read a healthy dose of facetious into that statement.

No. My iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6 and 2017 iPad are behaving exactly the same on 11.1 Beta 1 as they were on 11 GM and 11.0.1. I’m getting excellent performance and battery life on all three. Very pleased with iOS 11.1.

And yet here you are...

Sorry totally disagree with you. iOS 11.1 Beta 1 is rock solid on my iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6 and 2017 iPad. Definitely a worthwhile install if one wants to explore the world of beta software to test upcoming improvements and possible new features.
If your phone is on Do Not Disturb instead of mute, then what you are describing is default, normal behavior. By default, Favorites are not silenced while on Do Not Disturb. You can change this in Do Not Disturb settings. My phone is on silent but it still rings. Funny enough it rings just when my wife or my daughter calls. It is not happening when my son is calling. All three numbers are in my favorite list.
I have seen this bug also in IOS11 beta (do not remember which one).
Has anyone seen this bug?
By silent you mean the switch on the side, or Do Not Disturb (or both)? My phone is on silent but it still rings. Funny enough it rings just when my wife or my daughter calls. It is not happening when my son is calling. All three numbers are in my favorite list.

Welcome to MacRumors! You’ll find a wonderful community here, comprised of helpful saints and snarky a**holes alike. It’s diversity which keeps our world so great.Hello Guys!
It is my first post here at MacRumors Forums, so please kindly forgive me this quick welcome. I've been reading you since quite almost a year, but decided to join you today.
I've been using Windows Phones as my private phones for a couple of year and Android's Samsung as my business phones I receive from my company and one year ago I switched to an iPhone SE as my private device. I must admit it, it has been an amazing year while using the device. I love tech, I am a conscious customer, I have been using all these three mobile platforms and must honestly admit that I regret discovering Apple's product so lateI have been having issues with my Android and WIndows devices all the time and it has become normal behawior to me. Once I turned on the SE with iOS 10 I was amazed, not only with perfect software and hardware, but also community. There hasn't been a single issue this last year! not a single one!
Of course I have upgrated quickly to iOS 11. I see some very small glitches, small bugs in iMessage, but I understand it and hope Apple is not Windows and will polish it. BUT I found this bug, that really irritates me and I wanted to ask you guys if you could check for me if it is fixed in iOS 11.1. I would be very grateful!
Those are the steps: After unlocking the phone and swiping down on home screen to see the cover sheet/notifications, there happens this weird screen dimming. I'm going to try to atttach the video of my screen. I have seen it also on iPhone 7, 6 S Plus of my friends. It does not depend on any lightning conditions (Apple Support thought it has something to do with AutoBrightness, but it is obviously a bug).
Please guys, kindly check if you expierience it. I'd be very grateful for any replies.
The first video is mine, dimming can be seen at 0:05.
you can see it also on another video across the internet, for example here - at 0:13, but the wallpaper is darker and dimming is slightly weaker.
I know this might be very silly to you, but I have been amazed with my phone's performance and now I am welcomed every time with the bug
Many thanks for all your replies!

As for your bug, I see the screen dimming and flickering too. This only happens when pulling down Notification Center while notifications are present - with me, they always are. It’s also been a visual bug for a fair amount of time, at least since the GM. It doesn’t happen every time for me, but often enough to notice. It’s odd indeed.
If you can, try submitting a bug report (if you haven’t already). I’ll be doing the same.
Did you try those specificmy 7 plus doesnt do that

Did you try those specificconditions?
- toggled off option „notification on locked screen”
- it can be seen only first time checking after unlocking the phone. On the second or third time reaching to notification - there’s no dimming
What's the carrier version on both of those? So here’s something interesting. I’ve got an iPhone 7+ and an 8+ both running 11.1. For some reason, the 8+ uses an abbreviated carrier name “VzW” at all times instead of “Verizon” on the 7+. Both devices are set up almost identically. Anyone else see this?

The X won’t have the carrier shown, because at the demos it didn’t have it in the Status Bar but when Craig opened Control Center it said “AT&T”Very interesting. It could abbreviated for the X because of the notch. I don't think it meant for the 8... Guess we'll find out in later betas.
