Anyone having that System Storage issue where it’s taking a whole lot of space for no reason? Mine is currently sitting at 10.33gb - any way to get this down?

Yep I’m seeing that. Mines even higher:

If you swipe upwards, will it close the app currently running?
Or does the CC still gets invoked?

Haha nope. I wish.

Gotta love EAP

They’re all kind of annoying.

I stopped liking (and watching) him in particular after he had to bitch and whine about Sia’s performance at last year’s WWDC keynote. I get that music is never to everyone’s taste but it was a tribute to victims of the Orlando massacre.

Something tells me the guy is fairly privileged and has little empathy or compassion for others.

It is literally apples job to make these operating systems run correctly. What are you even talking about?

What they are saying is to quit whining about issues in beta releases. There are going to be issues. That is the purpose of beta programs.

Just report the issue you find as a bug and deal with it. Stop whining incessantly about it. If you simply can’t take it, stick to the production releases. THOSE you can complain about... to Apple.

Not iOS 11 specific (that I know of), but does anyone find it annoying when you swipe down to do a search and type in a few letters and the matching apps show but since I have the Plus I have tried to double tap the home button to move the screen down to be within reach of me thumb but the problem is the keyboard doesn't move out of the way and now the apps I searched for and want to launch are half below the keyboard and half above and cannot select them easily.

After a full restore. 42% usage with messages. Light usage with my phone. Not sure on what to do but hoping b2 is released today and battery life improves.

Was at 74% before I plugged in. Woke up at 8 and unplugged. Now 11:30.

Beta 2 next week. (Source: Reddit guy, AKA madscotsman)

Please guys, kindly check if you expierience it. I'd be very grateful for any replies.

The first video is mine, dimming can be seen at 0:05.

you can see it also on another video across the internet, for example here - at 0:13, but the wallpaper is darker and dimming is slightly weaker.

I know this might be very silly to you, but I have been amazed with my phone's performance and now I am welcomed every time with the bug :(
Many thanks for all your replies!

Welcome. A very polite first post I must say! Your English is excellent also.

There are likely many graphical glitches and bugs like that you described early in the “major release” cycle. I think Apple tends to prioritise functionality problems before looking at polishing graphical and display issues.

For example, see this small bug I get sometimes after closing Notification Centre. The “new or updated app” light flashes repeatedly. It doesn’t bother me really and I’m sure it’ll get picked up eventually.

I was too lazy to report it during the initial beta period!

Hello Simonmet,

Thanks for pointing out my English, I still make more mistakes than Apple with iOS 11 :p but I am a self-taught, learning English by watching Grey’s Anatomy so I am quite happy with the results.

I also have this bug with an updated app, the little dot changes colours.

I’ve become a maniac and every meeting with my friends who own iPhones starts with me checking this dimming - 100% iPhones infected.
So I just wait till the end of year until Apple fixes things (hopefully they will remember about iPhones older than X ;) )

Anybody having issues with volume control on iOS11? My phone will be on silent and my volume in control center will be all the way down and sometimes when I open videos in FB or twitter the sound will play out anyways. Also can't control volume of spotify via side buttons when phone is locked.

All of my media players (Apple Music, Spotify and even YouTube) just pause by themselves for no reason. Anyone having that issue?

I had the same usage/standby issue on my iP7+ as well on 11.1beta after full restore through itunes.
After so many debugs and troubleshooting, i found out the root cause for my specific issue were either the accessibility Assistive Touch and/or accesibility home button - rest finger to open, i turned both features off and now my battery is back to normal. @Freakonomics101

Are you saying rest finger to open was causing battery drain, or corrected it? I currently have mine configured that way.

11.1 beta is much more buggy for me than 11.0

Lots of new bugs and graphical glitches popping up and in general not running as smoothly on my IPP 9.7” as previous build.

Similar here. I rolled back to 11.0.1 on my 9.7 pro, which feels like a beta as well but not as bad.

It's Either the rest finger to open OR AssistiveTouch that caused the battery drain.
Unfortunately i turned both off at the same time, and it fixed the battery drain issue.
Although now, i turned back on the "rest finger to open" and it does not seem to be draining the battery, so most likely it's "AssistiveTouch" that caused the bug.

So i'm assuming you had the same battery "Usage/Standy" issue, and turning off one of these features worked?

Glad that someone was able to confirm this workaround is working for now. Took me an ENTIRE day yesterday fiddling on the settings to finally found this.
