First 11.1 beta I’ve tried, and overall pleased.
Experiencing a bug that was present in some 11.0 betas, music widget on lock screen is not “updating” the time for the song. If I pause the song, it goes to the correct time, once I hit play again music does resume playing, but time doesn’t change.
Playing music stored locally on the phone, don’t have Apple Music. Have restarted with no change.
Anyone else experiencing this?

You can request a statement from Apple for all your transactions related to your Apple Pay Cash Card. It wasn’t working before, I’d get a failure error. Now it seems to be working, i got my statement in my email.

Apple Pay Cash (the as yet unreleased Venmo-like feature) or plain Apple Pay? If the former, are you an Apple employee or financial institution tester? How do you get this receipt?

music app has a lot of bugs.
for example sometimes the animation of the cover of the big player has problems, the music widget data (image and text) updates with a little delay when you are listening music in bg and wake the screen, playback commands (next and previous) sent with bt (beatsX or car radio) experiencing delay etc.

So many people posting positive feedback for this beta I finally took the plunge and signed up for the public beta testing. So far loving this over 11.0.3

Has else anyone noticed that podcast audio will rewind a few seconds, after being paused for a couple minutes?

instead of complaining please post legitimate feedback smh

also if you make a bold claim (i.e. this release is a piece of ****), back it up with proof (such as videos, sources, etc)

please thank u

i am considering in jumping on board from 10.3.3 to this pretty soon and would like constructive feedback

I’ve been using 11 since the first beta in a 6s and found it to be a great experience. I can’t say much about battery life, because I’ve never really had “great “ battery life on any of my iPhones and everyone’s experience varies anyway. That said, 11.1 *does* appear better so far.

As far as the overall experience I’m absolutely loving 11.1. I find it to be smooth, fast, & polished.

Anyone else having RAM management troubles? Sometimes whatsapp doesn’t notify me and I have to open whatsapp to receive my messages. Even, if is whatsapp in multitask

I think that has always been the case and it feels like it is by design.

I don’t think it’s done it before this. I use podcasts everyday during work and am constantly pausing it.

Edit: it’s starting to get annoying... hopefully they remove this from a later build.

updated to 11.1 from 10.3.3 couple hours ago

note: i did try ios 11.0 gm when it was released, but quickly downgraded to 10.3.3 as it was awful

as for 11.1, it definitely feels more polished and refined than ios 11.0 was, however it still has its ui quirks (such as a slight delay when opening folders, some stuttering here and there, delay when opening some apps, etc)

i am particularly happy that the memory leak was fixed from 11.0, now more apps seem to stay in ram

now i can say that 11 is acceptable to be used with 11.1, it still needs small improvements but it's getting there

Soooo everyone knows i kept moaing about ios 11 but listern to this i installed beta4/gm and was still getting lag home delay where as friend wasnt so done a full fresh restore using ipws and set up as new and wow every lag is gone and home delay isnt there anymore it feels amazing so honestly if anyone has lag issues restore as it really makes the os feel smoother im so happy with this now, feels like ios 10 if not better :)

As new and no backup?
No back up i wanted completely fresh so re installed each app and used icloud for pics and contacts and honestly its like night and day, i dont know why ota update doesn't make it feel smooth maybe it still keeps beta coding i dont know but it really helped me

It doesn't make much time to assume something and run with it as if it's fact and there's nothing else.

The slight pause was one of the first things I noticed when I updated to iOS 11. I know why they did it and I’m use to it now. But the first time I pressed the home button it was immediately noticeable.

Something interesting. There is no delay at all double pressing the home button to go into the app switcher. And no delay pressing anything in the switcher such as an app our around the apps to go to the homescreen. In short, you can go to the homescreen by double pressing and then tapping the sides to go home just as fast as just pressing the home button once.

Also can you uninstall the beta and install the final version of 11.1 without redoing everything?

Thanks for the feedback. For a prospective user who doesn't care about the new features, would you recommend staying with iOS 10? Or making the plunge with 11.1?

Please don't get offended or anything or don t take it as an insulte, joke but... but what visual impairment do you have that requires such a bugged down feature as smart invert or just the regular invert?
no its okay to ask.

Its because its extremely difficult for me to read on black text on white background. In the past when websites and apps have different designs I was able to deal with it but these days its basically just black text on white background everywhere on the web.

So I used invert colours as a shortcut and I just active this when I need to read but always switch back to normal after this. Smart invert colours was a great news when announced because I was hoping I could finally stop always switching forth and back between invert colours and normal modes.

Many people with visions problem will use invert colours to read sometimes. I can understand its hard to understand for normal people because yes, colours and pictures are ugly but we only use this as needed and to be able to read white text on black background.

In the past I jailbreaked my phone for years just for a night mode that works better than invert colours.
