Excellent battery life on my 8+
You were getting close to 9 hours of usage with over 60 hours of standby on a regular iPhone 7 with iOS 10 (with close to 20% still remaining)? That is impressive on your 8.
Here is the same 17% battery level as your screen shot on my 7 which is half what you got. Sad part is that prior to the "upgrade" to iOS 11 I was getting double that.

Ah, my mistake. Could you explain how this could possibly be a feature? Very curious.I understood first time and I maintain my opinion
Yeah I dont thing so. You have a source? Here is a little more info from Oct 16th that says otherwise.

"The exploits have been addressed in the iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and macOS betas that are currently available to developers and will be rolling out to consumers soon."
I seem to have an issue not noted much in this beta. The keyboard lags considerably on my iPhone 6S+ 64GB model. When typing, it will randomly freeze for 1-2 seconds and resume at rapid speed, only to freeze again a few seconds later and repeat this. I've tried restarting the device and the messages app numerous times. This issue was resolved two betas ago, but has now come back in this beta.
Anyone else having this issue?
At the very least you'd probably want to wait for the actual final released version.I know it’s totally opinion based, but if you were still on 10.3.3 would you update your phone to this beta? I’ve been using it on my air2 with no issues but I’m still a little unsure of updating my phone.
If I were you, I’d wait to make that decision until 11.1 rolls out officially, probably next week.I know it’s totally opinion based, but if you were still on 10.3.3 would you update your phone to this beta? Oh ok no worries. Thought maybe you have other info somewhere. I saw the post that someone said that. But that means no more than if I were to say it was fixed in 11.0.3.You wasted a lot of time and effort on this post. Especially since I posted exact same link earlier in thread.
My response was said as it was pointed out by someone else earlier. Went by that.
Concur - not to mention “Updated Just Now” is not centered in the mail app account view. Grr!The native mail app establishes very slow connection with mail servers and takes long time to update / fetch the mail accounts. It continues to display "Checking for Mail" at the bottom of the Mail App Home Screen for a very long time even while remaining connected on fast WiFi network.
However, on the same network connection, and for the same mail accounts the updation / fetch happens very fast when on iOS 10.3.3 (14G60) and earlier version of iOS.

While I've had days with around 9 hours of usage that would be with under 20 or so hours of standby, and that would be with basically less than 5% of battery left (with an iPhone 7 on iOS 10).
I wonder how typical your battery usage in iOS 10 was.Yes indeed I was. No longer. Hope they fix this obvious problem and do not f-over loyal customers.
50/50 WiFi and 4GI wonder how typical your battery usage in iOS 10 was.
That is more in line with what I had experienced a lot of the time, although not always by far (as in it would be worse than that at times and occasionally better than that), with an iPhone 7 on iOS 10.3.3. It's about 10%-20% worse at the moment with iOS 11.0.3 so far, which isn't too unusual with early versions of a major new update, we'll see how it behaves with 11.1 when it's out (and future updates).
I really hope 11.1 will be viable battery wise. In case it won't be, sticking to 10.3.3 is a no brainer. That is more in line with what I had experienced a lot of the time, although not always by far (as in it would be worse than that at times and occasionally better than that), with an iPhone 7 on iOS 10.3.3. Changed in what way? Why do you think that?I’m pretty sure the way usage was timed changed from 10.3.3 to 11. If you just think about whether you’re charging your phone at the same time each day or earlier/later, how does that compare?
no it wasn’t. I take my 7 Plus off the charger at 7AM in the morning and it needs to be charged at 1PM again and it runs out at around 10PM. On iOS 10, a single charge would last till 8PM with heavy use.I’m pretty sure the way usage was timed changed from 10.3.3 to 11. Here's my usage for iPhone 7 running iOS 11.0.3 (on a slightly heavier than typical day) with about 70% WiFi and 30% LTE, (although mostly with a not so great signal):
At the end of an average day on iOS 10 I usually had roughly 8 hours of usage. After upgrading to iOS 11, the usage number dropped to 4.5-5, but my daily usage was the same.Changed in what way? Why do you think that?
Im not saying actual usage changed just that my usage times seem to have decreased while the use feels the same.no it wasn’t.
