I have to say, I am a little dissappointed, I thought 11.1 was going to be better, I sold my 6s for the 8 and it performs almost the same. Some stutter sometimes when unlocking, when opening apps and in general just by using the phone a little bit faster, you start to see some stutter here and there.

I've noticed much better performance on my iPad Pro with these recent 11.1 betas compared to 11.0.x and early 11.1 betas. Could be a placebo of course, but I really don't think it is. Still not where it should be ideally but much better. Gives me more hope for iOS 11.2 and 11.3.

That is impressive on your 8.

Here is the same 17% battery level as your screen shot on my 7 which is half what you got. Sad part is that prior to the "upgrade" to iOS 11 I was getting double that. :(

Don’t forget... music and phone calls get calculated into that. Even if the device is on standby. That’s why we’re seeing these “outstanding battery life” readings and some people are only getting 4-7 hours.. etc.
[doublepost=1509146427][/doublepost]Are there any optimization’s to portrait modes beta? Like better accuracy with the darkening around the subject?

Was your 6s running iOS 11 or 10.3.3?

I’m going to answer for him and say they were both on 11.
Assuming they were both on 11 and almost as smooth/fast, and since the 6s is a little faster/smoother on 10.3.3, can the 6s be smoother/faster on 10.3.3 than the iPhone 8 is on 11?

The 6s was on 10.3.3 but I was jumping back and forth between every ios 11 beta to test things since apple still signs ios 10.3.3 for the 6s. And yes, my 6s was smoother on ios 10.3.3, SMOOTHER not faster.

Yeah same here on iP6s. Weather widget is still flaky. Updates totally once in a while, sometimes only the hourly section updates but not the rest. Half the time the temps between it and the weather app don't match. Also I get the flash/refresh like you describe when initially swiping over to the widget page.

Same here, I’ve gone with another widget for the time being.

Still getting trash battery life on 7 Plus. I have never seen such a bad release. Its possibly worse than iOS 9 and Windows Vista levels of bad.
In my experience, I completely disagree. Battery levels on my 7+ and 8+ are on par or possibly even better than 10.3.3

Have a bit of a mystery. My 7 Plus is on beta 5, but for at least the last two betas, it’s been having a freezing issue. The screen will be unresponsive, as well as all the hardware buttons, but otherwise the phone keeps functioning. Music will play uninterrupted, and I can interact with the Control Center and the Notifications screen. Everything in the both drop down screens works perfectly, except they will not launch any apps. Meaning the flashlight will turn on and off, etc. The only fix is a forced reboot. I’ve restored the phone, and reset Network Settings. Any ideas? I really don’t want to do a restore as new, but will if it’s the last resort.

What about reset all settings? You didn't mention that. That would be better than just network reset and does solve a lot of weird issues after an upgrade or a backup restore from an old version.

The sad truth is that Apple has become a .3/.4 iOS release vendor. iOS is becoming a bloated mess as we inch closer to "Apple OS" that will run all devices. When this happens remember Trent Reznor, " Bow Down before the One You Serve. You're going to get What You Deserve." :apple:

I've never seen this before, can anyone tell me what is the meaning of this symbol?
