iOS 11.2.5 Beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Oh no!!!

My alarms do not sound at all. Thankfully I was awake so wasn’t an issue but I had three set and all three made no sound. All volume levels up of course and mute switch off

Edit: correction, only those that are songs from my music library did not sound, the standard alarms sounded

Unrelated but can you open the timer app and scroll through the minutes? Previously there used to be a Taptic scrolling feedback on iPhone 7 but its no longer there now nor is it present whenever I scroll through any list on the web.

I am talking about the scroll haptic feedback on lists when you scroll through them fast.

Not really sure as I don't really care much for haptics and keep all related settings for those off.

Haptics are there for me on the X, both scrolling fast and slow.

Just tried one on my X with a song from my library and it worked fine. Have you done a reboot/hard reboot?
 
You can swipe up to close apps now on the iPhone X after long pressing on the app switcher. I only noticed it with this beta so it might have been there before.
 
If I downgrade to 11.1.2, and decide to jailbreak my 7 Plus is it possible to tweak the home button so the delay is gone? Not much familiar with jail breaking but considering this is now my secondary device I am open to it.
 
Weather widget still not updating. This must be something difficult (NOT) to fix. Sad, so much sad
 
A bug I have found is with the unlocking of the phone.

There have been 3 random occasions today where I can’t unlock the phone. No attempt with FaceID and if I swipe up I get haptic feedback but no option to enter passcode.

The only thing I’ve found that allows me in is either a reboot or enable then cancel emergency call by pressing the side button rapidly 5 times. After that it works normally until the next time it stops.

No apps have changed or new been installed and it worked fine on the 11.2 and 11.2.1.
 
Can anyone say how is the performance?
If not worse than 11.2/11.2.1, I'll install the beta.
 
Battery on my iPhone X so far seems to be much better than my 7 Plus. I must say the phone feels so futuristic.
 
Is this a new symbol when no album artwork is available? It shows for a split second before the artwork pops on or if no artwork is present.

I believe it is.
Does the icon on the top right stay grayed out after you tap on it or has that bug been fixed?

The notch is slightly irritating me but I think I will get used to it as I use my phone more. The display size so far doesn't seem to bother me. It only feels smaller when viewing any sort of media in landscape because of that notch. The phone is super fast and battery life so far has been outstanding. Loving the experience so far.

I still plan on keeping my 7 Plus as a secondary phone. I am thinking of downgrading it back to 11.1.2 and jailbreaking it as the jailbreak is coming out before Christmas.

The overall design and the gesture based navigation. I like turning on the phone and using it just to open and close apps. The phone is fun to use.
