6s here, same f..g thing!?!?! But this is after 11, now is worse! Battery management is bad!!!!
Not seeing this at all on my 7. Getting good battery life thus far.

As has been mentioned before, most likely a rogue app or process that’s doing this, unless your battery is very degraded, which you can now find out in Battery settings.
Also, if the % is going down sporadically, could mean you need to calibrate your battery. This doesn’t have an effect on actual battery life, but just how accurately your device displays the current charge.

Anyone else not able to setup the personal hotspot on 11.3. I got to cellular and it tells my I need to contact my carrier ATT, its worked before.

89 percent, and yes, goes randomly up and down according to Battery Life app from App store!
All battery life apps on the App Store are inaccurate as Apple removed the ability to view charge cycles in iOS 10, so they are just estimating.

Yes but in front of my eyes, the battery goes as seconds!?!!? I am not blind!
That’s something different than battery health. That most likely means you need to calibrate your battery.

The simple way to do that is to let your phone run all the way down until it dies.

Then plug your phone in and change it all the way up to 100% without unplugging your phone during charging and preferably not using your phone while charging either.

Once it says 100%, leave it plugged in for at least another hour.

You can then unplug your phone from the charger and your battery will be calibrated.

I'm afraid that's not possible. If you disable PWM, the iPhone X display will be at maximum brightness (100%) all the time, which is probably not what you want. PWM is just how it is with OLED.

If it’s disabled and the display is at maximum brightness, then the brightness can still be controlled by reducing the white point. In Accessibility there is an option for this and I find the display looks great, richer even, with Reduce White Point by 80% enabled at 100% brightness. Unfortunately as it stands now iPhone X has PWM from 0%-100%, which doesn’t have to be the case.

How long should I wait for iCloud messages to sync? It has been over a day and I still get, “Messages have not been fully downloaded,” when I attempt to turn off iCloud messages.

To me, this shows that iCloud message sync either has a glaring bug or is really really slow, which means bad programming or bad infrastructure.

Why do apple push out new betas when there still is remaning issues from other betas left?

I really hope 11.3 will be out soon, but rather wait one more month to fix everything.

When 11.3 comes out, will imessage really work fine with icloud syncing? Its beta 5 and still problems?

It’s quite strange that something worked fine in the previous version has so many issues when they are relaunching it.

Held out on iOS 11.3 until today. Wow! What a difference on my iPhone X! Animations are smoother and shorter, Face ID much faster. I’m excited!

View attachment 754276 My iPhone 7 Plus is acting strangely on this newest beta. If I use the YouTube app in landscape and then pull down or up it shows the lock screen or control centre in landscape mode !!! Like it would on an iPad !!!
[doublepost=1520943883][/doublepost]I did try posting a video but keeps complaining it’s too big even when I reduced the time to much smaller only 6 seconds.

Feedback sent !
Perhaps it’s intentional. Does that for me even without running the YouTube app. I went to landscape in Safari and got the same results.

Unfortunately that happened to me going from 11.2.6 to beta 3 with a full download. It also wiped out my Bluetooth devices and deleted all of email accounts. It screwed up a bunch of stuff. I ended up restoring to iOS 11.2.6 from a backup. What iOS version did you update from?

I updated from 11.3 Beta 4

Here's something: if Safari doesn't connect because Wi-Fi doesn't have signal (is switching on/off... Something) you can't hit refresh when signal is established, you need to close it and reopen it
[doublepost=1520988006][/doublepost]Also, Wi-Fi turn on is weird. It connects with full bars, goes away entirely, then establishes itself... It's during these periods I noticed it... I was in this "process" when I noticed the Safari bug. I had full LTE the entire time BTW

Anybody having better luck with messages in iCloud in this beta? I managed to really mess mine up this go around. I attempted to get it resync by deactivating the feature on my iPad then clearing out its messages. Once it was empty I reactivated it and it cleared all the messages from iCloud. Since then it has stored new messages on iCloud but the 4 or 5 GBs of messages that are on my phone don’t seem to be going anywhere. I also haven’t seen anywhere on this beta a sync progress indicator of any kind for messages in iCloud. At least I still have the messages, they just won’t go to iCloud for some reason.

Not really. After a day and a half I still get, “Messages have not been fully downloaded,” when I attempt to turn off iCloud messages on my iPad. This is the only way I can get any type of status. And this was only added to beta 5.
