I believe HSA-2 is referring to 2 factor authentication.

Enable 2 factor authentication and then see if the problems persist. If they do then give feedback again but I believe the problems will be gone once 2 factor is on.

Is it supposed to sync all the messages from Mac with the ones on iPhone?

Thought I’d mess with beta 5 on my iPhone and iPad, messages aren’t syncing properly, I thought they would both end up with the same exact messages but the iPad has more than my iPhone.

Yep. I have always had issues with syncing going way back. It used to be log into iCloud website and then update the info there and then it would flow to your devices Can’t do that these days just report any issues and wait for it to be fixed.

For me, so far, it just syncs any new messages between the iPhone and MacBook Air. And deleting on one deletes on the other. But I haven't had any success with getting messages on Mac synced to iPhone.

Does this beta seem ready for prime time? With the exception of iCloud messages? Wondering if it’ll get pushed back

My iPhone 7 Plus is acting strangely on this newest beta. If I use the YouTube app in landscape and then pull down or up it shows the lock screen or control centre in landscape mode !!! Like it would on an iPad !!!
[doublepost=1520943883][/doublepost]I did try posting a video but keeps complaining it’s too big even when I reduced the time to much smaller only 6 seconds.

Feedback sent !

This is normal behavior. Been that was since 11.0.

iPhone X had quite honestly been frustrating me on 11.2.x - freezes/hiccups when using tap-to-wake, occasional hesitations unlocking, swiping to unlock, and closing apps, voice dictation quirks.

Last night I did an encrypted backup to iTunes, archived it, and installed the Public Beta. I’m experiencing none of the frustrations so far, everything feels great so far.

Ok but if it’s in landscape view and you turn the iPhone back to portrait should it not flip the screen back to portrait?
If you’ve invoked either control center or the Notification Center (lock screen), then it will stay in landscape until you dismiss either. It should then rotate.

@Chazzle,

How’s your Wi-Fi? Any other issues on 5ghz?

My Apple devices have been connected here for 19 hours on Beta 5, without issues. Knock on wood. Prior to upgrading to Beta 5, I reset network settings, changed the Wi-Fi channel and disabled Universal Beamforming as well. I didn’t have any problems after that on Beta 4. Nothing on Beta 5 yet.

Ya know, I have had some interesting things going on. I made a bunch of changes to my router settings and just could not get things playing well together. I then even put Tomato firmware on my router, and while that helped me with the incorrect password issue, it messed up my throughput quite a bit. I then put the stock firmware back on and set it up as I had before (only have the 5ghz radio on as my router’s 2.4ghz performance is pathetic), WMM enabled, beamforming enabled (implicit and explicit), but using a short preamble.

After I did that yesterday, my devices were connecting perfectly with zero issues and I was very excited. However, this morning I left my WiFi range and came back, still with no issues but 20 minutes later, my phone disconnected from WiFi while on Safari, the popped up and said incorrect password, exactly what happened last time!

I’ve been suspicious that this has something to do with iCloud Keychain, so I did some troubleshooting. I went into my iCloud settings and toggled iCloud Keychain “Off” and went through the prompts to “Keep Passwords and Credit Cards on my iPhone” etc. this is when I found another, possibly related bug. After about 5-10 seconds, the iCloud Keychain toggle turned back on. Tried going through the steps to turn it off again and once again, it turned itself back on after said time. Anyway, I then went back and tried to connect to my network, put in the password, and it worked!

Been connected for an hour now with no issues. This imo confirms that my specific issue has to do with iCloud Keychain. Found the “cannot turn off iCloud Keychain” bug in the process.

My 7 is still on 11.2. It seems to be running smoothly and battery life is pretty awesome.
I am still dealing with iMessages out of order and that's annoying.

I've been trying to keep up with reading about the issues with each beta update but it seems like iOS 11 overall is pretty crummy (to put it lightly). And that makes me afraid to update.

How is everyone else's 7s running with 11.3 or 11.3 b5?

Nice and good sleuthing!

I turned off implicit beamforming on both bands. I noticed on 5ghz, with it off, I get about a 3db boost in mid range signal on same channel. Still have explicit on, which is AC standard. I think implicit (Universal) was messing with my connection.

I haven't had the Wi-Fi connection issue with an Apple device exactly, but I have found some Wi-Fi weirdness.
The weirdness I've found is with connection HomeKit accessories, but might could be related.

I have 2 wireless routers, primary is an Asus N66U, then an Apple Airport Express just for AirPlay. Recently I bought a new Homekit lightbulb and connected to my Asus router. It would initially connect but took forever and then if the connection was ever lost the lightbulb would never reconnect. Since I had the Airport Express I created a new wireless network to test on, and connect the lightbulb to the Airport and it has worked flawlessly through power outages etc.
I am not certain, and haven't been able to test but I think this may have something to do with the WPA encryption method.

@Banglazed - having crazy cellular connectivity issues with this beta, you? Have a call in to my carrier to make sure they're not having network issues today.
Happened twice today - luckily I enabled the call logging profile after the first one. This is in the city, in good LTE coverage, so no excuse for the data dropping. Did a test call - it also failed, so both paths were unavailable.
Resetting carrier settings didn't restore the functionality this time. Had to reset the device.
Strange thing is, the second time it happened, it recovered after about 10 minutes....then when I was driving in the car, there were connectivity issues intermittently (like there was packet loss) - CarPlay did the circling indicator for about a minute, then skipped to the next song.

So far, no cellular issue as yet but I do have the Call Logging profile installed in case it ever happens. Are you using Qualcomm or Intel iPhone?
