And it sounds like it just started with this beta? That sure is a strange one. I know you said it was minor, but if the next beta doesn’t fix it, I would definitely take it in as it could be the first manifestation of something more major down the line.

I’ve had some strange battery/charger behavior with iOS 11, such as hearing the charging sound play and phone light up again after five minutes of plugging my phone in. That being said, I notice this behavior more if I plug the phone in and then keep using my phone for awhile, and then set it down to charge. Seems to happen within 20 seconds of setting it down which tells me it could have something to do wth Apple limiting the charge rate while you are using your phone, as I know using your phone while it’s charging can have a negative affect on overall battery health. Just speculating of course.
It started with this beta, but the problem seems to have went away for now. Next time it happens though I’m bringing it to the Apple Store to get the battery and charging port checked out

Battery life for me on Beta 6 has been worse than beta 5. Not sure why.
I ended up downgrading back to beta 5 to see if battery life gets better again. Will see how it turns out.

Ever since iOS 11, I haven’t had major issues ever on my iPhone 7. However looks like iOS 11.3 could be a step backwards. I haven’t yet installed the beta. But looks like almost everybody has had issues.
I saw couple of people having amazing performance on their iPhone X.

I really want to try but I am waiting thinking it has way too many issues.
Performance on my X has been fantastic. I had an issue early on with one of my apps not working with FaceID but that was fixed in beta 4 and it’s been smooth sailing since.

I’m not generalizing but it seems like a lot of people are digging for issues rather than using the phone as they normally would. I’m a fairly light user and for what I do, 11.3 is golden.

As it should be on a device for which the OS was built for.

I can echo this for the iPhone 7 for the most part. I hopped on since beta 5 to see if I’d notice any show stopping issues in the normal use of my phone. So far beta 5 and now beta 6 have both been fine, with no issues with anything. The only thing I noticed one time was some stuttering when checking my phone...5 minutes later I checked my phone again and it seemed fine. Using the phone normally for over a week now the battery life is perfectly great and normal on my 7 ending my day with ~35-40% left. Overall extremely happy with the update and can’t wait to put it on my workhorse iPad Pro 12.9

I received a reply about issue when phone is locked and I receive a text, follow up notification tone makes an odd buzzing type sound. Apple replied and said change in this build may fix issue. Still have issue. Replied it wasn’t fixed. (7 Plus)

@Chazzle,

Just an update. Coming up on 2 days on lower 5ghz channel 44 and no issues. Higher channels definitely have issue here. Odd, because other devices here ok. Seems to be on my iPad 10.5 only. Reported it with detailed notes. I also contacted Asus to make them aware. When I turn WiFi off and on, when on higher channels, it comes back fine. Could be Apple or Asus. Who knows?

Good to hear you have narrowed it down. Odd for sure. I haven’t had my specific issue crop up again since it happened twice. Still cannot turn iCloud Keychain off on either iOS or macOS, so that’s either a bug with the OS or my account.

Thanks for the update. I’m hoping for one more beta, to squash remaining bugs. One can hope. :)

Anyone on tmobile notice and change in your signal with this update? Since installing this beta I've noticed a definitely decrease in signal strength to and from work. Areas I drive through every day and never had a problem with seem to now have a lower signal and many more issues while listening to streaming music and shows. Not just a single app so I know it's not an app issue, happening in spotify, youtube, and siriusXM.

Yes, my signal strength has been fluctuating quite a bit throughout the betas. I have relatively poor reception at my home, so I notice it easily. This beta I noticed a substantial drop in signal and a Speedtest in my living room has shown a big decrease.

Thanks for that, at least I know it's not just me. Hope it gets fixed soon, I guess it's something tmo needs to do from their end?

Just went back and checked and the modem firmware and carrier version changed in beta 5 and is the same with beta 6. I had a good signal until the last beta so it was definitely that firmware/carrier change that affected things.

I wouldn’t say ASUS can help you since you flashed it with an non-ASUS firmware and older Merlin firmware have WiFi drop issue. These third party firmwares have that kind of effect even DD-WRT firmwares so you’ll need to constantly update to newer builds. I suggest you to check their forum since users do post thread to report issues in each build.

I used to flash DD-WRT firmwares on older routers and some builds have WiFi drop issues which may not be immediate after flashing but after a few hours it would kick in, stabilize and repeat again.

Are you using the latest build posted 3/16?

Anyone else have the problem of Siri not loading? I can ask a question just fine but it never loads(shows my question on screen).

Using the latest build and the WiFi driver hasn’t changed in many builds. Merlin doesn’t touch that. No weird Rx/Tx issues posted there. I’m using router RT-AC1900P (basically same as the popular RT-AC68U). Since it corrects itself, when I turn WiFi off/on, I’m thinking it’s an iOS issue. Especially since lower channels work perfectly fine and never has the Rx/Tx link issue I’m experiencing on higher channels.

According to the FAQ, Asus will support Merlin. https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/FAQ . I’m thinking Asus understands how important it is to have this type of development from Merlin, since it drives business their way. I’m fine, as long as Wifi is working on lower channels. I sent diagnostic logs to both Apple and Asus, just to cover those bases. Could very well be the firmware, as you said. The logs will hopefully help either way.

My 7+ drops connection with my AirPods at least twice every time I use them. I have to select the iPhone, then reselect the AirPods again to get sound. When the sound cuts out, the music appears to keep playing as per the Lock Screen display.

My habtic feedback on the X with beta 6 is all over the place sometimes swiping up to shut app i get it then sometimes not its so random
