Just noticed even more issues with the TV app. See screenshots below:

- TV show title is messed up in few places (either replaced by the season number or a random episode name)
- seasons appear twice in several places
- seasons are out of order

Isn't it Carrier specific and based on a Carrier update? As of now Vodafone doesn't list iPhones in their compatibility list.
https://www.vodafone.in/discover/super-volte-4g-hd-voice-calls

I recently ported from Vodafone to Airtel and their network has LTE for iPhones.
It is. That’s the reason I asked about Vodafone. Rumour is that Vodafone will introduce volte with iOS 11.3. Since there was a change in the modem firmware version in beta 5, I think may be it is working.

I used to be Airtel user but ported to Vodafone recently and couldn’t be happier. Airtel speeds were terrible. What’s your experience?

I think beta 6 is final they will just re release it with out beta features but same build with minor change like drop s and letter i dont see a new beta now

It's been 7 days and Airtel has network where Vodafone didn't ( my bathroom :)) But in Mumbai City, both are equally good or bad.
I can totally understand the importance of a good network in the bathroom. :p

Even though I stay more in Ahmedabad but I have an office in mumbai too. Both Vodafone and Airtel are decent there.

Actually with Airtel changing their tower vendor to Ericsson, I had tremendous issues with basic phone calls. I world get amazing speeds but phone calls won’t work.

I don’t think Apple has any hurry to release the new version. We could even see two more betas.

My X battery health has depleted 2% overnight to 98% according to the system OS, however:

Lirium still has the battery at 99.41% health - 0.59% wear
Battery Life has it at 99% health (2700mah max capacity vs 2716mah design capacity)
Coconut Battery has the health at 97% after 95 charge cycles (2635mah max capacity vs 2716mah design capacity) It also reports the current charge as 54.3% when the phone, Lirium and battery life all say 57%.

Not complaining as I know this is a beta and I know none of them are accurate. I was just surprised to see the phone had lost 2% overnight.

Maybe tomorrow we get GM and public release on Monday or day of keynote I dunno

I just cleaned it out with a toothpick, and while that didn’t fix it, my lightning cables stay in the charger more securely now so thanks for the tip, lol.

Very odd issue. Don’t even think it’s worth bringing to Apple because it’s so minor.
For me, very rarely, when I plug in my phone it does not light up but when I click the home button it vibrates and starts charging immediately.

Anyone using the Mint (budget app) and noticing your phone heating up noticeably when in the app, and for a few minutes after using the app. Fills like it’s getting stuck in the background because it’s magically my #2 most % battery use at the moment with most of it as “background use”

I use it and dont see that issue, tho I am never in it for more than 2 mins at a time.

I've had this problem for a couple months now and reported it back to Mint with no response. There are also a lot of recent reviews in the App Store of other people complaining about the same thing.
I've switched to using the Personal Capital app now and quite happy with it. It's not as powerful as Mint but it serves my purpose.

Beta 6 does not include the SIRI third party party app security patch Apple promised to release

You need to understand that battery doesn't have a brain and it's just a stomach and iOS is the brain. Think of it this way, the more you eat to constantly to be at 100% by keeping it plug in through the night stress on the battery. Letting it die, full charge and keeping it at 100% all stress on the battery and on top of that creating too much heat also degrade the battery even more when using a iPad adapter or any fast charge adapter and wireless charger or charging while using the device. If the battery is like your stomach, do you run it down to 0 or 100% constantly? This is why I don't keep it plug in through the night or keep at 100%. If device stays cool, with frequent top ups to get through the day, your battery will last much longer between 10-89%.

Take it as a tip. Battery will chemically degrade over time and probably you shouldn't OCD on it since it will drive you insane if it keeps on dropping.

I understand how a battery works. However leaving it plugged in all night categorically does not do it any harm whatsoever. That’s why an iPhone has power management built in.

Once it reaches 100% it shuts off charging. It only kicks in again once it has discharged to a predetermined level set by Apple (circa 98%). If you don’t believe me charge your phone with it plugged into a voltage meter. You’ll see the phone stops drawing power once it reaches full charge (which is not always when the phone says 100% if it’s calibration is a bit off)

I think I’ve only discharged my phone 5 or 6 times. I generally get to the end of the day with about 20-25% remaining on my X if I’ve been using it heavily in the day. Will be closer to 40% with medium use. I charge once per day which is when I plug it in at night.

Heat, as you say, is what kills a battery. Nothing else.

I’m not CDO on it. I just like to monitor things. Degradation doesn’t bother me unless it’s extreme. I expect it to wear, was just surprised to see it drop from 100% - 98% in one night.

Also remember, this is a beta and there are little things that needs to be fixed. Besides, battery health will never be 100% accurate.

I also just hop in for a minute or too but something with it makes my phone notably warm up immediately like as if I just played an intensive game for 10+ minutes. Just found it odd, probably an app bug though. The phone always cools off within 10 minutes of exiting the app so I suppose that is a relief, just a minor annoyance overall. When the final releases I’ll leave Mint a review noting the issue, still solid 4 star app for keeping my spending habits in check.

Ive also been shopping for another, better optimized app but the only one I saw was Penny which is currently in limbo unfortunately since Credit Karma aquired them.
