I feel like the latest two betas have been making iOS 11 worse. Dev beta 7/8 worked better for me then 9/10. Music widget/control center is broken again. Apps that worked fine before now lag when trying to open. When in a folder the entire phone freezes for 30 seconds occasionally. I hope the final version is better then this.

Beta 10 is absolutely fantastic on my iPad Pro 10.5

Just installed it yesterday and it feels even faster than iOS 10.3.3

I can confirm, however, that there is a lag when pushing the home button. But everything else is so fast that I don’t even notice it during normal use.

Battery drain is the same or even less than 10.3.3, still on first charge after upgrading, 72% - 4h use, 10h standby with 41% YouTube and 41% Safari.

P.S. Just noticed that the screen does not automatically rotate when on control center...

Beta 9 has absolutely wrecked the performance of my 6. Shocking. Apps are often closing themselves. Camera takes 10 seconds to function.

Battery has been excellent on my iPhone 7+ and iPad Pro 10.5.

Glitches with icons and animations that need to be smoothed out have been reported. I’m really pleased with this beta and think it’s in a better place, compared to when iOS 10 was released. I didn’t install any of the previous betas.

And really all girl rainbow wallpapers and flowers shocking

I rarely ever use the stock wallpapers anyway. I used to, on my first iPhone I did not change the default wallpaper at all for one whole year of ownership. Only with iPhone 5 did I start changing wallpapers, and then got an app to get my own wallpapers, and then started using others, including my photos or anything.

TLDR: These guys could really do without giving a single wallpaper. But they do to round the package. What they do, and the fact that they refresh it after a time, is applause-worthy anyway, but even more so in the Cook regime. I could bet my money that these guys may axe "spending on wallpapers".

Similar experience on my iPad Pro 10.5. Opposite experience on my iPhone. It’s hard to believe this is the same build. Also it’s interrsting you’re usage mirrors mine.

I’m wondering if Apple forgot to upgrade or will upgrade the graphics and kernel drivers for the iPhone vs the iPad. A working theory.

Interesting you bring up the kernel. In the GM that leaked, I believe the kernel date was updated to 9-1-2017. If memory serves me correctly. So something changed.

Whoever the **** put the tap outside a folder works on 7 and 7 Plus

First, chill the **** out with the all caps, childish ass ****

Second, you wanna ****ing FaceTime? Because I’ll show you this bug on my device right now! **** off...

Any other iphone 7 owners experiencing this. When I press the home button to close an app then ammediately swipe right to another home page of apps it drops a few frames and looks choppy. It happens often but seems quite random.

I also get the 3d touch animation stutter people have already mentioned.

Are these fixed in the leaked gm? Once the gm is officially out for public beta how would I go about restoring and setting up as new and not install ota to see if it fixes the stuttery animations I’m noticing? If not I’ll just restore to 10.3.3 and stay on that.

Thanks

Yep I’m noticing all the issues you mentioned. Especially going in and out of safari.

Huh. I never knew you could tap a link with two fingers on an iPad to have it open in the background. I’m guessing that was in iOS 10, or even earlier?

They added it recently. Not sure if it was this or last beta.

I am on the leaked GM and I get that stutter you mentioned.

Don’t bother with a clean install. I did a clean install when I installed the GM and didn’t help one bit.

None of these stutters bother me as much as the home button delay though.
[doublepost=1505019818][/doublepost]Battery life is definitely worse in iOS 11. Draining fast.

So the home button delay remains on the GM?

Minus the home button delay how is the overall feel? Do most apps open a titch slower than 10.3.3?

Yup. I made a clip on this after I installed the gm. Thr iPhone 6 is faster than the 7!

Overall experience is the same as on Beta 10. App load times are slightly worse than in 10.3.3 but nothing major. When I opened WhatsApp I used to instantly be able to use 3DT on the chats. Now there is a delay as it finishes loading before I can use it.

I just don’t get how Apple is missing these very noticeable issues.

to be honest it looks like I'm staying on iOS 10 until the new iPhone comes out at least. I used to download the GM but it seems that it has bugs that may impact my iOS experience and I don't want that. For the people that say their iOS is flawless I really don't validate your opinion because there has never been a flawless beta that I've ever installed. Even iOS 10.3.3 isn't flawless so I don't wanna hear those lies

Thanks for making a quick video about it, now the folks who swore it’s not an issue can see it for themselves.

Sadly stutter still there
Where is this said stutter. There's conflicting posts all over. Some say the new iPad Pro is smooth on iOS 11, some say it stutters. Some video would be helpful.

The "girl rainbow" wallpapers youre referring too are actually a retro throwback to the old Apple logo. Look it up.

In the 3DT menu, animation is not smooth, there is a slight stutter and frameskipping in the animation. When you open Safari or any app for that matter, sometimes there is a stutter as the app loads into view. When you scroll through the app switcher there are frame skips sometimes . The OS is just not as smooth as 10.3.3. And I have this problem on an iPad Pro 12.9 2nd gen and an iPhone 7 Plus

The mother of all problems is the home button delay. If you use an older device on iOS 10 you will realise how clunky and unresponsive the OS has become.
