iOS 11 Beta 2: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements, etc.

Anyone else having issues with messages of more than 3 lines of text being cut off after the third line?

For me, on iPhone 7 the usage time is the same as the standby time. Is it because beta is not optimized for energy consumption?

Putting “Settings.app” instead of “Settings” doesn’t make you any cooler :rolleyes:

This is an Apple forum, no need to show everyone you know what a bundle identifier is

Hmm... I’m seeing that too

Probably just a small bug where one stat reports to both things, not some optimization thing (could be wrong)

So I found a workaround for the app switcher bug. When you close an app and tap out of the switcher, slam your finger on the screen to replicate 3D touch. The app should close. This only works with 1-3 apps open. Close the others first and then do this on the last ones.
 
Music app not working. I'm guessing we're in the minority since this isn't being mentioned by anyone else. Stopped sometime during beta 1, not restored to functionality by beta 2.

I notice there’s a one handed keyboard in Settings. Is this new only in beta 2?

I hate that Apple has removed all the ways to quickly open apps in iOS 11.
No more quickly opening Spotlight by slightly sliding down from top.
Heck, even tapping on the song title in Control Centre doesn’t quickly open Music app.

I made a test. Battery consumption is 1.5% pro hour (screen off). Even if phone is at airplane mode! Cpu does not go on standby mode... That should be fixed before releasing a public beta..

Is Spotlight that thing with the search bar and the four most used apps? Can you tell I don't use it? :). Anyway, just swipe down from around the middle of your home-screen. Works for me (6S, beta2).
