The new app switcher is amazing!!! It’s much smoother than in the previous betas and it automatically closes now when all apps are removed. Also, if you try to open it when no other apps are active, it now does not open and vibrates to confirm it’s not currently usable!

Anyone’s visual voicemail still broken? I’m on Verizon and have tried everything.

Anyone get a small stutter when swiping between home screens? I've had this since beta 1 and reported it already...kind of annoying, hoping they fix it.

Usually after closing an app and then going one page over. The animation sticks for like a half second

Facial recognition and/or entering a passcode would make touchID a bit more cumbersome, potentially reducing its use and continued expansion. I am going to stop commenting on this now, at least within this thread.
I have no idea how Apple would implement this, but do give them some credit for coming up with ways of making things easier not harder. Imagine a facial recognition system that uses more unique data points than TouchID does currently and does so from pretty much any angle so long as the front facing camera can "see" your face. If they can do this, then it should work simply by picking up your phone. Again, no idea if that's what they're planning, but its at least within the realm of imagination.

For two hours when I had all the other betas my phone always ran continuously hot. It's not hard to say after two hours if the phone is hot or not because two hours the phone should've already been indexed and could even be fully charged in two hours. But thanks for your comment.

In all fairness, anyone that just downloaded it is likely using the heck out of it right now, looking to see what's new, trying new things, and using it way more heavily than over the course of a standard day, so any estimates of how batter life is in the first two hours are going to be very skewed...

New setting in the FaceTime settings I think..."FaceTime Live Photos: Allow Live Photos to be captured during a FaceTime Video call"
Been there since beta 1.

That's why the main focus was talking about heat. I could wait for battery life answers, I just want to know if their phone is smoldering hot. I went back to iOS 10 and it runs cool all the time again.

Always done that as far as I know. Am I missing something?

Not that I am aware. Its always done that. Not sure what these posts stating that is new is about.
Pull to refresh is indeed new in the updates section of the App Store.
