There's that one, and then Instagram's been doing it too. Maybe Snapchat on occasion as well. Never had any issues before beta.. 6 I think it was? Unfortunately they freeze the OS so hard I can't even open multitasking to even close them for 30-60 seconds. And when I do close it, it sometimes re-opens frozen as well. Super odd.

Do you both perhaps have background refresh turned OFF for these apps? If so, the app is probably pulling new data upon open maybe? The apps you mention would obviously have lots of photos, video, posts, etc. waiting to be delivered. Just a thought.

No understand theres a huge ui lag and its not exceptable the frame rate is not just 0.5 millisecond its noticeable comapires to ios 10 and the 3d touch is horrible and not smooth after 8 betas this is worrying
[doublepost=1503990409][/doublepost]Speed and proformance is most import that gimicky features ios 11 doeant bring anything new on iphone just new cc which isnt great its a massive step down with speed ao many things could have been changed to make ui better but nope nothing

Do you believe that every beta is a successful step forward only when and if it performs better than the last shipped release software, despite being better than the previous release in terms of features that benefit and ultimately better one's user experience? Please answer this as simply as you can, without going into anything else.

If your answer is yes, you don't know the spirit of beta software, and software development in general. If your answer is no, then I do not understand why you would literally whine about lags right from beta 1 threads.

As regards to a reiteration, beta 7 was positively fluid, and beta 8 seems to build on that. Of course, stutters regarding 3D are there, but they have improved. Heard of patience? There is a reason 10.3.3 is fast - it went through 10.0.0 to 10.3.3 and several beta iterations in between. 10.0.0 was not as fluid as 10.3.3 is.

Sometimes I feel this whining has only increased ever since Apple decided to open the gates to the public who knew nothing of a software development cycle to begin with, and in fact, only just came to the playground expecting something unreal. So long as there were paid developer account memberships only, the amount of whining was staggeringly less.

Have you considered that you might have a hardware problem? I do not see others with the same issues as you. My own experience: without ability to count frame-rate or measure milliseconds, I can only judge by my own reaction time. Since the home screen is in place before I have removed my digit from the button, I fail to see how any more speed could improve my life. IPhone 5s

But he knows no satisfaction....

I'm using an iPad Mini 4 and today I decided to go back to iOS 10 because of two things.
1. Dropping frames. It happens from time to time when returning to home screen or when scrolling through App Switcher. Also in Today View screen, where I have some helpful widgets. It annoys me. It is my only Apple device and I expect to be as smooth as it gets.
2. Brightness slider. I really don't like that I have to minimize e.g. Netflix every time I want to change the brightness.

First point I hope it will be fixed, but the second one I guess I have to learn to accept if I will move to iOS11 at the end of the betas.

No lag here in those situations, nor has there been for me on iPhone 7 Plus

I don't believe you, sorry. 3D Touch stuttering has been reported by most people throughout the beta, including myself on an iPhone 7 Plus. No possible way it would be any different for you with the same hardware and software, it's possible you don't know what you're looking for.

I work in a building with dozens of Wi-Fi access points. I don't want to connect to certain ones - it says in CC "Connected to ____" and I can disconnect quickly without turning wifi off.
Wouldn't it be simpler to just go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the right Wi-Fi?

Don't have any 3D touch problems!

Makes perfect sense. Sometimes I’m in a place where the WiFi sucks and so I turn it off to use the LTE. That’s doesn’t mean the next place I go I don’t want it to conserve my data and try out the WiFi at the new place. You want to turn off WiFi completely use the old way or just tell Siri to do it. But there are few situations where I want there to be no option of WiFi, I just want to be able to easily turn off just bad WiFi.

Anyone who can’t adapt to the new way has other issues than turning off WiFi.
I absolutely have no problems with adapting to new things, but I have issues with weird things.

Because it's a dead end I'll skip explaining of why I think you're wrong, but I'll tell you this. Are you 100% sure that you want to trust this "new" behaviour? From my experience "auto join" to Wi-Fi is not reliable enough to just trust it all the time. There's a good possibility that your phone won't connect automatically to Wi-Fi and you'll lost a lots of your data.

Don't believe you. No way a software issue is affecting some devices and not others, even though they're the same device. Again, I'm going to choose to believe you don't know what you're looking for. Either that or record your screen and share with us!

What problems do you got then?
Really 3D touch working flawless. I jumped in with beta 5, as a clean install on a 7+.

I don‘t know bout you guys, but is this good, lol :x i7, latest PublicBeta

I decided to jump on the beta bandwagon on beta 8 coming from 10.3.3 on a 6 Plus and all I can say is, wow. This fixes so many issues I had with 10.

No longer does my calculator on the lockscreen only open 1/4 of the way thanks to the reworked lockscreen. The camera opens much faster (1sec as opposed to several which I considered extreme lag). Scrolling in Safari now matches the rest of iOS and no longer takes several swipes to get to the same location as one flick. No more volume HUD blocking a video (new controls work and look great too). Better memory management as Safari refreshes less with anemic memory on the 6 Plus.

It’s smooth and fast. I love the new CC and the ability to customize the toggles. I use the alarm a LOT more than the timer so having one touch access is great. Like that a long press in CC gives the 3D Touch options on older devices. The ability to limit location tracking to while in app for ALL apps is fantastic. Love the look of the new App Store and didn’t think I’d like AutoPlay video previews but I do (like that you can limit that to Wi-Fi only and disable it completely). Love the ability for iOS to delete apps you have used in a while to make room while retaining saved data for use again later.

Bummed that they took away the arrow keys from the landscape keyboard (never used copy and paste ones). Not a huge fan of the slightly weightier fonts in places but apparently the majority like them more. Disappointed that you still can’t schedule DND for specific days (hello weekends!?, not everyone works 9-5, would love to be able to schedule it in calendar with my work schedule). Still want PiP on iPhone, garauntee it’ll never come to the 6 Plus (again anemic memory) if they ever add it to the Plus line.

As far as any lagginess goes so far I’ve only experienced that in Settings. Only bug I’ve noticed is that BT icon is always bold even though nothing is connected according to BT Settings and the location subtext for “always, while in use, never” doesn’t alway populate so you end up with just quotes. *Shrugs* For a 6 Plus this is easily GM quality. I’ve used buggier GM releases (anyone remember 7? *shudders*)

The resprings are getting kind of ridiculous. Typically I got one or two every couple of days on beta 7 but the first day of using beta 8, I got 6 resprings just from doing stuff on the phone. Opening speed test app, opening fast.com app, pulling notification center down etc. Not sure what's going on.

Weird. Haven’t had a respring in several betas.

I must say, this latest Beta feels to be running smoother on my iPad Mini 4. I’m not seeing keyboard lag, apps are a bit smoother, the obligatory snappier Safari. I’m a happy camper so far - have had some concerns lately about my Mini being bogged down.

Anyone still experiencing not receiving iMessage notifications? Only issue I had with B7 and keeping me from B8

Anyone else’s video app disappeared?

In storage settings it shows I’ve still got 19gb of movies on my device but no way to even delete them??
