The issue of triviality when it comes to bugs like alignment inconsistencies are only trivial when they don’t relate to reasons you prefer the product over others. One of the things that draws me to the Apple ecosystem is the higher emphasis they place on attention to detail and the higher level of precision they strive for in their products than competitors.
I use Windows because between the types of software and database development I work on and gaming, it’s really the only platform I can use. This means design inconsistencies and general UI/UX awkwardness is irrelevant because it’s not necessarily all that bad and even if it was, what choice is there given my requirements.
I use my iPhone to browse the web, text, make calls, etc. There are many other smartphones out there that would give me the exact same functionality (at least so far as I use) as an iPhone. The difference in this case is the performance, polish, and attention to detail paid to the iPhone and iOS’s design compared to those other products. This elevates UI/UX wonkyness and uniformity issues higher than their triviality would suggest. Not game breaking, just not unimportant either.
