What was the build version on it? The same as GM?

And that build was internally ready three weeks before the launch. The builds after the internal GM were already for iOS 11.0.1/11.0.2/11.0.03 even though they had a lower build Version than the GM. Otherwise those releases weren’t ready for the launch on a weekly basis.

I wouldn't expect a ton of 11.1 betas anyway; maybe 4 to 5 total. Once the X is in people's hands there will surely be a quick update or 2 to address any big issues with X specific features being a completely new form factor. They arent trying to get everything done in 11.1 as no one has a X in hand to beta it on yet.

Sounds like apple are 2-3 builds ahead for x.x builds but release x.x.x builds to fix problems with the current public release?

You may want to do the same as me - admitting defeat and looking at replacing the receiver in your car. Going to put one in that supports CarPlay and put this grief to an end. I had sent an e-mail 4 days ago to Tim / executive escalation team regarding their support / downgrading policies and user impact - not a word back. Not going to live with a scenario that I don't have hands free working in my car.
Problem persists in 11.0.3 btw.

Oh...and it's something that Apple / the Carrier are pushing down in their settings after install. 11.0.1 didn't have the problem for hours. Then when I noticed that my health and activity data were back, boom, the problem's back.

(and that's setting up from new, so how do you stop them from pushing this data on you?)

Only solution - replace the receiver with a newer one that works well with Apple.

There's also problem with 2017 cars with carplay...and apple didn't recognise the problem....
this is so amazing...2017...worst apple's year EVER

My iPhone 8 is hella choppy with iOS 11.1 beta 2. Like it’s struggling all the time doing basic actions. Not too pleased with this beta. If it wasn’t for the 3D multitasking I would’ve gone back to 11.0.3. Hope beta 3 this week

Because Apple already has the GM of iOS 11.1 ready to go.

I believe the X will ship with iOS 11.1

Given that now they are saying the X has shipped out to certain countries already.

11.1GM must be ready

11.1 and WarchOS 4.1 will come out at the same time.

Apple has said Watch will Support Apple Music by end of the month. 4.1 introduced Apple Music to the Watch hence 4.1 will
Come out end of the month.

If anything I’m predicting a 30th October launch to the public

Of course I’m hoping it comes out earlier so I can actually use my Apple Watch as advertised... to stream music to my wireless beats at the gym without the need for my phone

Technically the development is finsihed. There will be no GM (like for iOS 11) available for developer/ public beta tester. IF there's another beta, it will be one for iOS 11.1.1 or further iOS 11.1.x releases.

Argee, that iOS 11.1 will come in around two week.

Yes I agree but I’m loosely applying the GM term to whatever build they have decided is final after beta 2

I also really hope 11.2 starts beta testing messages in the cloud.

He has also said nothing about there NOT being a beta today or this week.
He has said something for the last 20 weeks when there has been something. So the fact that he has said nothing is a good indication that there isn't anything.

I doubt we won’t have a beta 3 today
There is literally no need to further test 11.1 being that iPhone X units have shipped. Testing 11.1 right now would only be beneficial for iOS 11.1.x or 11.2.
