Not thinking so. Most likely 11.1 public release next week and nothing iOS this week.
Gotcha.. Thank you.

Beginning to wonder if the in-app speaker issue is hardware. I love this 8+ and the camera is VERY good (zoom lens not awesome but I don’t care about zoom).. but the in-app speaker just sounds so janky.

WPA2 flaw? Some minutes to go and we will be all a bit smarter.
I don’t see them releasing an 11.0.4 to fix the WiFi security bug only to release a more substantial update which includes that fix just a week later. But you’re right, only time will tell.

I’ve only come across you and one other member who has mentioned the issue you are having. It sounds maybe like it’s hardware too, perhaps the haptic feedback popping like it has before. I would look into a replacement.

I have had the phone replaced twice so that is 3 iPhone 8 Plus, all with the issue.

I just disabled Haptic to test and it does not resolve the issue. When I played the speaker clipping/crackling sound for several Apple employees, including a Lead Tech, they all agreed it sounded horrible and was not normal.

So further testing of the in-app speaker clipping issue .. it seems that the issue is caused by background or secondary audio.. for example, the disabling of the Melody audio in Sudoku resolves the issue. You can disable Music in Sky Guide but the lingering audio of previous selections still causes the issue with new selections while the sound of the previous one is still playing.

Build is only one number higher, xxx93 instead of xxx92. So must contain small changes or maybe just Apple Pay Cash.

Whow madscotsman was wrong. Thats a first
Almost sounds like something unexpected that was (accidentally?) omitted from the last update or perhaps surfaced since then and was important enough to get pushed out and so quickly.

+1 Yep, there's plans, then there's what happens when a severity one bug gets reported and confirmed. Anything that would be gating release, they'll patch and release a new beta build.
