It seems that the release will likely be at some point in the next week or so, but we'll have to see.

With all due respect, it doesn’t matter what any of us think. The software is protected by copyright and a legally binding license. Allowing the sharing outside of the standard Apple procedure puts this site and its owners at risk.
It would be like posting a Pirate Bay link for a movie. It’s enabling the spread of copyrighted content.
Yeah I’m not objecting or questioning it at all. Just interested in the distinctions.

Sure? Here in Germany there are some trustworthy websites, where you can download the files, when they are out (Final releases!).
Final releases are not subject to Apple’s developer’s terms and conditions. There are copyright and trademark issues at play and it is illegal for anyone to provide the developer profile or .ipsw for beta versions.

With that being said. It’s still illegal for final release versions to be available from a non-Apple site. That’s illegal distribution. But because it’s “freeware” Apple doesn’t worry about it because they have more important things to deal with. Also, because you don’t accept the terms and conditions until you install the update on the device or iTunes. If you had to agree to the terms and conditions of iOS before downloading directly from Apple, then Apple would seek legal action. I can name dozens of cases of similar issues going back 20 years.

This attitude was evidenced by the signing of the leaked iOS a few months back on non developer accounts

there have been several minor 11.x.x releases that were released on a Monday... 11.2.2 for example.
Several? A few tens. Tuesday sometimes, sometimes Thursday. On Fridays for security flaws and as we learned recently on Saturdays also.

Experience? Beta 6 and 7 got released one after the other. They don´t do this just for fun. And look at the date the article got published.
You call it experience, i call it conjecture. When you bold something, that indicates rock solid which your information isn't. It may end up being accurate but that will be luck, not inside info.

10.3.3 was released on Wednesday after beta testing. 11.1 was released on Tuesday. 11.2 was released on Saturday due to the time bug but was probably intended to be released on Monday since that's when Apple Pay Cash was activated.

It's really anyone's guess.

What do you think 90% of us do here, in a speculation thread?

I`m an Apple User since 2008 after sometime you know, more or less, when Finals and or Betas drop.

Conjecture! You nailed it!

the iMessage bug is kinda a big deal... see no pointing in waiting till tomorrow or any other day of the week plus we have the release candidate which is pretty much the final version that everyone will get, so its not like it isnt ready for release today.
