Sigh. This is pointless. Thats the entire point of it being a placebo. The mind over matter. Placebo effect affects everyone.

Think and believe what you want. But don't go around calling people uniformed.
You know that maybe you are experiencing a placebo effect too? You want to think it didn't get any better so your mind won't recognize any improvements - self-fulfilling prophecy.
As you said, don't go around and tell people there are no improvements.

There really hasn't been much improvements for older devices from 11.0 to 11.2.5. The X performs outstanding on all release versions.

Don't bother. I hear it every single time how the latest point update is "sooo smooth now", yet when I update myself after reading such praise like for iOS 11.2.5, I still see the same lags and stutters plaguing the OS. It is very much a placebo affect indeed and I fall for it every time. I don't have high hopes for 11.3 either. iOS 11 is a complete fail and has been since day one, doesn't matter how many band aids they attempt to put on it. We will have to wait for iOS 12 now to see if they focus on performance or not, and given the trend in recent years of each iOS version getting worse than the last I don't hold much hope.

It’s not every time that the prior release (11.2.2 in this case) is as flawed and plagued with as many countless UI glitches as 11.2.2(and prior releases of iOS 11 were), choppy performance(On iPhone X) and a severe iMessage crash bug that was critical to fix as soon as possible. For the sake of discussion, If a given version of iOS is stable enough and an iOS update comes out to further refine it then that’s great and all but it won’t be as big of a deal as 11.2.5 is at this point because it was a much needed update to polish out some critical UI flaws, I had this Ui glitch where the entire notch area bar with the battery status and time etc would disappear and be only visible if I swipe down the control center and that bug has been in iOS 11 since the first day I got my iPhone X and I’m glad it’s now fixed.

Such fixes (like the one for the iMessage resprings) justifies a iOS 11.*.* update even without long testing and affect on other issues. Those are „easy“ to replicate and fix.

This iOS 11.2.5 beta testing is obliviously due to launching Apple Pay in new countries as there‘s a lot of background work to do. Especially, with almost no features shipping along iOS 11.2.5.
Any update on Apple Pay launch?

11.3

• New AR Experiences: ARKit 1.5 can turn posters, signs and artwork into interactive AR experiences

• Animojis: New Animoji in iOS 11.3 include a dragon, bear, skull and lion for a total of 16 different characters.

• Business Chat: Business Chat lets users communicate directly with businesses like Lowe’s right within the Messages app.

• Battery and Performance: iOS 11.3 adds new features to show battery health and recommend if a battery needs to be serviced.

• Health Records in Health App: A new Health Records feature makes it easier for people to access and control of all of their health records and data.

• Apple Music: Apple Music will soon be the home for music videos. Users can stream all the music videos they want without being interrupted by ads.

• News: Apple News now makes it easier to stay up-to-date on the most important videos of the day with a new Video group in For You, and improved Top Stories.

• HomeKit: HomeKit software authentication provides a great new way for developers to add HomeKit support to existing accessories while protecting privacy and security.

• Advanced Mobile Location: Support for Advanced Mobile Location (AML) to automatically send a user’s current location when making a call to emergency services in countries where AML is supported.

That looks to be in beta 2 or 3 since it says that part is coming in a later beta.

Oh yeah, I think I missed that part. Maybe they still need more time to ensure the feature works properly. Anyway I'm also looking forward to more bug fixes and speed improvements for iOS 11 as a whole.

All i want is to hide the annpying home bar thought maybe it would come in this update :(
YES!!!!!! Apple, please make it go away! Its only useful purpose is to help you remember certain gestures in your very first days (or hours) with an X. After that, all it does is get in the way.

Public beta today also? Or tomorrow?
[doublepost=1516804610][/doublepost]I will be on this beta from the beggining to the end since 11.2.5 is not as polished as I expected

The quote from Cook just said that the battery options would be in a developer release next month. Apple has obviously been testing 11.3 since before the battery/performance controversy and there’s likely multiple builds internally that don’t have the battery features added. I wouldn’t be surprised if we were given a build of 10.3 before the second beta in February that would have the battery options added.
This is exactly what I am saying. There's no reason why there can't be a beta 1 of 11.3 without the battery info. That can just be added in a release in February with beta 2 or later. Especially considering the fact that beta 1's usually have a two week hiatus before the second beta. So technically, beta 2 would be released in February if beta 1 was indeed released next week.
Sorry for doubting you, lol
