Anything about icloud imessage?

I think that might be vaporware at this point. Or delayed to iOS 12.
[doublepost=1516805762][/doublepost]I'm interested in checking out Business chat and I'm hoping for some speed improvements on iMessage. I wish it felt as light and speedy as sending messages on WhatsApp. I think it's that classic swoooosh animation after you hit send that makes it feel like they take longer. They should make messages post instantly to the thread like WhatsApp. I think it's a better user experience
[doublepost=1516805863][/doublepost]Also when are we getting swipe on the apple keyboard? Seriously..

You know that maybe you are experiencing a placebo effect too? You want to think it didn't get any better so your mind won't recognize any improvements - self-fulfilling prophecy.
As you said, don't go around and tell people there are no improvements.
So the fact that for the first time ever my haptic feedback disappeared from my phone is a placebo? I had to reboot my phone twice to get it to work again.

11.3

• New AR Experiences: ARKit 1.5 can turn posters, signs and artwork into interactive AR experiences

• Animojis: New Animoji in iOS 11.3 include a dragon, bear, skull and lion for a total of 16 different characters.

• Business Chat: Business Chat lets users communicate directly with businesses like Lowe’s right within the Messages app.

• Battery and Performance: iOS 11.3 adds new features to show battery health and recommend if a battery needs to be serviced.

• Health Records in Health App: A new Health Records feature makes it easier for people to access and control of all of their health records and data.

• Apple Music: Apple Music will soon be the home for music videos. Users can stream all the music videos they want without being interrupted by ads.

• News: Apple News now makes it easier to stay up-to-date on the most important videos of the day with a new Video group in For You, and improved Top Stories.

• HomeKit: HomeKit software authentication provides a great new way for developers to add HomeKit support to existing accessories while protecting privacy and security.

• Advanced Mobile Location: Support for Advanced Mobile Location (AML) to automatically send a user’s current location when making a call to emergency services in countries where AML is supported.

iMessage in the cloud is missing.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Apple seem to have removed iMessage in the Cloud from their website.

It used to be featured on Apple.com/iOS no longer (at least not that I saw this morning).
I thought they'd removed it as well. But we had an extensive discussion a while back and found out that it was never on the website.

I was really hoping for them to mention something about improvements for portrait lighting, but alas. New animoji, so that's cool

I see what you are saying. Tim's quote COULD mean that the battery health info will be an 'A' version of a developer preview next month (maybe b2 or some other later build in Feb). Others here are reading it as a developer preview is coming next month that will have the battery health info. (Meaning the developer preview 1.) So it could be interpreted either way I suppose.
[doublepost=1516394291][/doublepost]Pretty sure no iOS 11.2.3/11.2.4 will happen and 11.2.5 will drop next week as the next official release.
Guess this turned out to be correct on both accounts @KamranMackey :)

Probably the question was if the public beta will be available today as well. Based on previous experience - it won't be available immediately.
The implication in the notice is that both will be available today. We should know the answer in about 2.5 hrs.

30 seconds later and we will be hearing how 11.3 b1 is the worst piece of crap Apple has ever released! o_O:rolleyes:

This is exactly what I am saying. There's no reason why there can't be a beta 1 of 11.3 without the battery info. That can just be added in a release in February with beta 2 or later. Especially considering the fact that beta 1's usually have a two week hiatus before the second beta. So technically, beta 2 would be released in February if beta 1 was indeed released next week.
I always try to admit when I'm wrong. You were correct.

It's probably also worth considering 1PM PST (3 hours later) for public if it's today.

Messages in the Cloud was most definitely on Apple’s website, but was removed at some point around August. Interestingly, The Way Back Machine does not have Apple’s website during that time frame. I’m thinking iOS 12 at this point as they’ve got quite a bit going on with iOS 11.3. I guess we could see an iOS 11.4 with iCloud messages, and it could even come after WWDC.

The Wayback Machine has the site back then, but it's a different URL than the current page.

That's correct, messages in the cloud was active during IOS 11 betas until beta 5 was released. I don't remember if they had it listed on their website but the developer notes from those betas listed it as being active, and of course then removed.

Odd. I’d swear it was on their website as well. It’s strange that we tested it in the first couple of iOS 11 betas and then they just pretended it never existed.
