The Wayback Machine has the site back then, but it's a different URL than the current page.

That's correct, messages in the cloud was active during IOS 11 betas until beta 5 was released. I don't remember if they had it listed on their website but the developer notes from those betas listed it as being active, and of course then removed.

Odd. I’d swear it was on their website as well. It’s strange that we tested it in the first couple of iOS 11 betas and then they just pretended it never existed.
Yes, very odd that it’s as if it never existed. I am 100% positive that it was on their website at one point.

iMessages in iCloud was extremely buggy in the betas. Maybe it was abandoned completely.

The battery health bit will be added to the X. It says iPhone 6 and later. It’s the dynamic power management feature that won’t be available.

11.3 Beta 1 will release today with no mention of iMessages in iCloud so it appears it’s been dropped until at least iOS 12 now, if at all

macOS 10.13.4 today and watchOS 4.2.3 betas today also? possibly? seems like they release betas for everything on the same date even if those other two are only minor betas.

It looks like it's only for the devices that actually get throttled. We'll have to see next month.

It only lists up to the iPhone 7 on the preview website for the battery features.

hopefully there are battery and performance improvements also in 11.3
Absolutely. 10.3 is when iOS 10 really started performing well. I’m hoping the same with iOS 11. I think that iOS 11 has put Apple’s software developement team in the world spotlight (arguably they always have been) and they are getting their act together.

Hoping the same but it's unlikely in the first few beta releases.

True. Also, and please don’t kill me for bringing this up, but I remember the “home button delay” being there on iOS 10 up until 10.3. I know currently it’s an adjustment in the animation and they end up being the same in the end, but for those looking for that absolutely instant response (albeit slower animation), there’s still a possibility that could happen.

The performance of iPhone has improved at 11.2.5. Nevertheless it will never be like 10.3.3. However I have learned the lession, not to upgrade to X.x releases. In this thread many iPhone 8 and iPhone X users reported a great performance in iOS11. So in iOS12 these devices will start to perfrom like iPhone 7 in iOS11.

Looking forward for 11.3

Here’s the earliest archived page of the iOS 11 preview website, from June 6. This is with the original url. No iMessages in iCloud listed.

Maybe they knew it had issues that were difficult to fix and it wasn’t guaranteed.

Thats the first thing I am going to check because I have no issues whatsoever with the X but it would be a welcome move if they fix the home button on the 7 Plus

So so so unfortunate it's not coming to iOS 11 as a feature (unless we get a surprise in 11.3, or an 11.4). Crossing my fingers we get this and Dark Mode in iOS 12, although chances of both seem grim at this point.
