For anyone on the beta. You will need to delete the beta profile and restart for it to show up. You will have to then reinstall the beta profile to get any further iOS 11.3.x/11.4 betas as and when they appear.

Bummer, confirmed - Messages in iCloud was removed from iOS 11.3. :(

Edit: Only 1 device got a newer build (15E217) - wonder what device that is?

Not necessarily. I updated my iPhone on beta 6 to iOS 11.3 without deleting the beta profile

iPhone X and IPP 10.5 are both build no. 15E216.

There are no release notes on the dev site for it though. So it will only be what shows up when you install via iTunes or the device.

Odd, it doesn't and still doesn't show for any of my devices which are all on beta 6(IPP 10.5, iPhone X, iPhone 7, iPhone 6 and iPad mini 4). That's both OTA or iTunes. I have the .ipsw files for all so that will be the only way for me to force the update.

While I am disappointed that Messages in iCloud was removed from the release build of 11.3, I can't say I'm surprised. When the feature was introduced in back in the early stages of this beta series, it was specifically called out as "for testing."

This is, if I am remembering correctly, not the typical language Apple uses in release notes, even for betas. From day one, I had a feeling this would not make it in to the release. Given how long it lasted, I feel that we could see it in a 11.3.1 or 11.4 release.

Has anyone who was on beta 6 and removed the beta profile been able to get the update to show in iTunes? I can get it OTA but iTunes says up to date.

Whilst I am content for them to pull it to fix it. I really can't see how Apple can get this feature so wrong. This has been ongoing for at least 12-18mths now, including the time working on it prior to WWDC announcement last year.

Need to stop f***ing around making Animojis and start making useful features!. The only time I use Animoji is with the kids.

It's odd that it is still in the latest MacOS beta too.
