Apple Pay Cash - and hopefully in more counties than the US (I’m in the UK)
Personally can't wait for this feature!Apple Pay Cash - and hopefully in more counties than the US (I’m in the UK)
Probably not for beta 1The following betas will be public too?
Hi guys.
Let's get the party started..
Aw cmon mr party poopy pants wheres the sense of adventure and playfully overconfident outlook towards Apples futureLet’s not
There’s no particular reason why major iOS and macOS updates have to be released annualy and have to synchronise exactly with new iPhones releases.
So why do they do it? It’s clearly a lot to ask to push out major versions of four operating systems at once and I believe this is adversely affecting the high degree of polish that Apple users expect.
They spend nearly a year polishing the operating systems only to release new versions that are noticeably rough around the edges by comparison, occasionally even with severe bugs.
I think they can do better. Splitting up the release dates for each OS seems like the logical first step.

How does splitting up release dates seem logical? The same developers are not working on each OS. They are separate and therefore one would not benefit by the other 3 not being in development. In addition, all OS versions now work with each other (feature wise). So they need to be updated at the same time. (Minus TV OS).
You lost me. How is that related to what I'm talking about? The answer is simple... have the macOS release in place in time for the iPhone X. Apple wants to sell the 8/8+ because the margins are huge, but don't fool yourself... their real focus is on the iPhone X...

How does macOS relate to iPhone X? Thats where you are losing me. Shouldn't you be saying they should have waited until X to launch iOS 11?My point is that Apple is all about the iPhone X, not the 8/8+... since the X is not yet available, the key for them is to just have macOS out in time for the release of the X.
Yes, some X.x.1 updates will say "performance and battery life improvements". Its been years since the last one though.Has apple in the past ever acknowledged iOS causing battery drain or an updating fixing it?
Select what independently? And how does this relate to what this thread is about? Now that the backdrop for notifications is the same as the lock screen, I want the ability to select this independently.
Since they are tying to unify the lock screen with the notification screen, I don’t see that every happening. Now that the backdrop for notifications is the same as the lock screen, I want the ability to select this independently.
I think maybe they are speculating as to if that feature may be added in iOS 11. I don’t know...benefit of the doubt.Select what independently? And how does this relate to what this thread is about?
Has anyone heard anything? I'm still on 10.3.3. I'm not updating to iOS 11 after all the issues with lag, crashing, and battery life I've been hearing about.
I’d suggest you try it rather than listen to the vocal minority here.

Pass. I'll wait.
Your loss. Most of us have zero issues.
Two things. First, the next beta will be a X.1, therefore the first beta will probably not be a public beta. Second, there have been quite a few X.x.x betas that have not gone to pubic during the first beta.Disagree. That’s usually only for the X.X betas.
