How does macOS relate to iPhone X? Thats where you are losing me. Shouldn't you be saying they should have waited until X to launch iOS 11?

Historically, Apple has released macOS (OS X) and iOS updates at the same time... ostensibly because of shared features... and those releases have been released in conjunction with the new iPhone launch. I am saying that it's all different this year because Apple is more focused on the iPhone X instead of the 8/8+.

I'm still really struggling to follow. Why would Apple delay macOS for the iPhone X. By what you are getting at, they should have delayed iOS 11 for iPhone X. macOS isn't even relevant for this release cycle.

My guess is Tuesday since tomorrow is when High Sierra will be publicly released.

Probably Wednesday for beta 1. Because 11.0.1 is coming Tuesday.

So we should expect to see X.1 on all devices (watch, TV, iOS, Mac) on Wednesday.

I believe that this isn't the first year when macOS (or OS X) is released later than iOS.

Yeah, macOS is always a couple weeks after iOS, which adds to the confusion on my part. I still feel like he should be saying what he is saying for iOS not macOS. o_O

Personally can't wait for this feature!
Think there will be any surprise features?

Not that it's a feature, but I thought they were going to change the volume hologram so it wasn't in the middle of the screen. I'm pretty happy with iOS 11 though. There are a couple things I noticed like my text shifting in iMessages; when I'm typing it'll shift to the right then back. As someone said earlier, no show stoppers. I'm sure it'll get fixed.

I just hope 11.0.1 fixes all the laggy issues with 11.0. It really is a shambles of an update. Battery life is also awful. My since returned iPhone 8 had same issues as my 7.

After all those betas, I have no faith in laggy issues being fixed so fast and in a xx.x.x update.

Haven't a clue as to why some folks are having so many issues with iOS 11. It ran without issue on my 6s. Now, on the 8 Plus it flies! And what was really nice is the transferring from 6s to 8 Plus. The phones paired up and the transfer was hands off. Apps and settings all transferred without issue to the new phone.

A little feature of iOS 11 no one had ever mentioned.
