There are a lot of comments about planned obscelesence lately, namely with ios11 and the betas/gm

Madscotsman - are you able to confirm or not apples alledged strategy around making software perform worse on older devices?

I mean not to take liberties nor offence.

To be fair, the whole thing about comments about it has been like this pretty much every year going back at least a few if not more.

could that discussion be left in its own thread? This beta speculation discussion thread was taken from overall talk of the new betas because it clogged that thread. bringing in the planned obsolescence crazy into this thread just isn't needed

Seriously? Look for info regarding the same issues being reported with the iP8 and 8+. So those devices are already "slowed down" because of the iPX?

I don’t have the exchange bug, so I hope Apple fixes more than just that with 11.0.1...
Yeah I don't either (outlook.com not exchange per sae) But lots of folks are. Hopefully it will have some other good fixes and performance improvements. Like the frame drop on 3D touch that seems to drive folks mad.

So, how about iOS 11.0.1? Today? Will it make iP7+ suck less?
Yep. :)

I don't think apple will realistically fix it until 11.3. they took until 10.3 to fix the iPhone 7 series lag when pressing the home button to exit out of an app.

There's never been a home button response lag on the iPhone 7 throughout iOS 10. There was a little animation hiccup until 10.3 though. But my home button has been instantly responsive since the day I got it with iOS 10. I'm staying away from iOS 11 because of the new timing delay they introduced.

There is an entire 20 page thread on the issue with the iPhone 7. Yes, iPhone 7 had the delay. Its because of the lack of a physical home button and iOS is waiting to see if you are going to double or triple click. In addition it had the animation issue.

Not seeing an update. Is it possible that it won't show up for those of us with the beta profile as we'll be getting our update tomorrow hopefully?
