I can confirm that. Didnt notice the homebar before to be honest. But I have another problem with the yt app. When you slide the video down to this minibar and swipe again to close it, you always activate reachability. Could you test this please?

It’s so annoying because I have to keep rotating 180 until it decides to go away.

And I have reachbility disabled by default but after testing it out - mine does that too.

What I hope to see in the YouTube app:

-Fix The Home Bar Not Disappearing
-Have the HDR Option Back
-Allow 2K and 4K Video Playback
-Fix the Reachability Glitch

Wish I stayed on iOS 12 GM but after doing a restore it decided to update itself to 12.1

It's running quite well on my XS Max. No real hiccups or issues yet. Only annoying thing (and it’s a small gripe) is that default primary thing that shows on the contact card even though esim isn’t available or enabled. It’d be nice if that only showed up if you turned it on.

The phones can display slightly better than 1080p video so 2K would be beneficial - but I don’t know why the HDR option has disappeared in the YouTube app ...

I’ve never seen the option for anything higher than 1080p on my X and now my XS.....

Assuming you have reported this?

I believe I saw it on my 7 Plus and then it was removed because of comparability or something for iPhone X last December.

But it was there to go all the way to 4K HDR 60fps

I was getting some weird cellular (AT&T) drop outs on 12.0 with my new XsM, but seems to be more stable on 12.1 beta. The modem firmware is updated to 1.01.12 and carrier is 33.5.2. Everything is fast obviously.

How is it possible that people can call me while the iPhone is in flight mode? It just happened to me. Run on iOS 12.1 beta 1. Is this a bug or a feature (?)

iPhone 7 plus an below dont support any type of hdr with video thats why it doesnt give you the option

Dont see a hdr option on my xs running ios 12.1 beta
Its probably a change that needs to be implemented in the youtube app as it wasnt until the early part of this year that the x got support for hdr on the youtube app
