iOS 12.1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Day 1 conclusion on cell coverage. Huge improvement with the 12.1 release and newer modem firmware. No signal drop and reception is far superior than before. I just wished I‘d sat out the beta phase and updates until 12.1
Here is some more detailed info on the new lock screen animations.
When you wake the screen up and it doesn’t try to scan your face, the swipe text is at the bottom of the screen—as seen in first screenshot.
When it attempts to scan your face and fails, the swipe text moves to the top next to the padlock icon—as seen in second screenshot.
If it scans your face and unlocks without you having swiped up, the padlock just unlocks.
If you swipe up and THEN it scans your face you may see the new circular animation (which has been present during other scans like for Apple Pay) depending on how instant or not the scan succeeds—as seen in third screenshot.

Something a bit odd.... Didn't have this under 12.1 B5 (IPP 12.9 G2 LTE)
With the stock apps (Stocks, Mail) I am finding on Open they have not updated since the last time they were Open. They may update within a few seconds but I am finding frequently I now have to force a refresh (pull down) or open one of the items in the app. Did not see this on B5. This is Open from the task manager.
Yes, I restored my IPP and installed 12.1 via iTunes.

I don’t have that animation, and I unlock my phone instantly, Xs max here !
How is 12.1 in performance , smoothness, animations on iPhone XS Max ? Cause mine is stuttering sometimes lagging a little bit , it’s like iOS 12.1 beta 5 but a I have a little bit more stuttering and a little bit jerkiness..
It’s tricky to recreate it. Wake the phone up without your face in view of the camera, swipe up to unlock, then put your face in view.
In case anyone was wondering, the 'start on wifi and finish on LTE' "bug" for downloading OTAs no longer works.
Take a look on the first page on top and if you don't like any of the changes then you can stay on that version.
I meant, are there any issues on this version that I don't already have on 12.0.1 and also, would 12.1 slow my aging phone down or will it be faster?
Also happening on my 7+ DFU fresh install from 12.0.1, Data LTE and 3G seem “slowed down” don’t know if the two are connected?Anyone noticed their photos in iMessage now says tap to download since updating to the new beta? Any fix?
