I'm sure i've seen this raised as a bug before but it seems the boxes around control centre items no longer cuts off the content: the boxes are the correct shape - see the Screen Time box as an example.

Has someone got an older version to compare against?

Definitely looks fixed on yours. Here is the old.

I’m on 12.1.3 and I tried requesting the update this morning and my phone has been stuck in “Update Requested...Estimated Time Remaining” all day even after multiple reboots, hard resets, switched WiFi networks, disabled WiFi, used iTunes to update to 12.1.3 (again hoping it would clear it), and reset network settings. Nothing seems to clear it. Thought about using the ipsw to update to the beta but I’m not confident that will clear the “update requested” status since the iTunes inplace update to 12.1.3 didn’t clear it. My goal isn’t to update to the beta, but instead clear the current update status. It seems like the update was “lost” and now in perpetual limbo. Thoughts short of a restore???

Have you tried to remove the profile and check again or Reboot before checking?

Really digging the new now playing widget on lock screen.

Does that show up automatically whenever another device is playing something? Is that button on the left a shortcut to the remote? What does it look like when the iPhone is playing music?

Sorry for the question bombardment.

Status bar disappears on the home screen. First time I’ve experienced this in all the betas. Any way to fix without having to restart?

And now I can’t recreate it.
The button on the left is the shortcut for the remote and whenever I clicked on the Dallas Pistons icon it would open the NBA app.

Anyone able to update using the ipsw & iTunes? I've been trying option + update but nothing works... Just tells me it's up to date. Using Mac OS 10.14.4

Did you select the IPSW? If you did, it wouldn’t say it’s up to date. If you selected the same firmware your device is on, it would still install. In iTunes, Option key + “Check for Update” and select the IPSW.

It won't let me select the IPSW at all... Just tells me it's up to date instead of bringing up the folder with the files to let me choose one.

Tested it on my Mac running 10.14.3 with latest beta Xcode. Same issue. It may be possible iTunes will have a possible update coming along with iOS 12.2 on Mac but it works fine on PC.

Apple did released a new iTunes https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1977?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US but somehow this build number is lower than the current build number preinstalled with Mojave 12.9.2.5

what battery life getting on iPhone XS Max

It shows up on the lock screen once you open up the remote from the control center while you’re watching something. The button all the way to the left opens up the remote. It’s pretty convenient and the new remote design is a lot more functional now that it utilizes the full screen.

Got stuck with red 1 on Settings Icon. But only there. Inside no sign of anything missing.

No Apple Pay available in my country

Not sure why Apple have felt the need to do this.

I sent the facepalm emoji to my wife earlier.

When I went back into iMessage list where all messages are. I noticed for some reason the male symbol was included.

Update: Oddly it’s stopped doing it now.

I used Apple Pay today with 0 issues.

I get to that screen and usually there is a “Touch ID” option right under the credit card image for me since I don’t have an iPhone XS with FaceID. This beta strangely does not show it and thus I’m unable to use Apple pay

So I found another thing:

If you have a notch-iphone and plug in your lightning cable, the battery animation is different.

Before it slided in from the left but now the little battery icon will expand to the full size of the notch and animates to the little battery again

Seems to be like this is going to be the final .point release for iOS 12. It was all about optimisation, better performance (especially for older devices) and bug squishing and it seems it's going to be all we get for the entire release. Barely anything new or notable in the .point releases as well.

The slow roll-out and development of iOS 12.1.3 makes be think that they are all-in on the iOS 13 development earlier than they tend to be on the next upcoming release. Gives me hopes for some stark changes with iOS 13 and hopefully it won't be as rough as the vanilla releases tend to be.

The most disappointing thing for me with iOS 12 thus far is how we have gotten so few noticeable and notable changes all the way through at the same time as the list of known bugs keeps increasing. There are no significant bugs, which is good I just don't really understand where all the time and effort was spent the past year with so little changes to the OS while even iOS 12.1.3 is featuring a rather long list of known bugs? It doesn't really feel all that different from previous years, we have just not gotten anything new or notable while the amount of minor bugs just doesn't seem to decrease.

I'm hoping this is because Apple felt that iOS 12 was in a good spot from the get-go and most development resources have been spent on iOS 13 all this time and we'll see some really great changes without a huge amount of bugs to go with it at WWDC.

Does this as well when you place it on a wireless charger.

Looks like quite a few little tweaks are in this initial release. No major features, but iOS 12 was never about that.
Maybe the Apple Pay issue is related to "older" devices ?? - I have an iPhone X and I'm also having the same "Apple Pay requires an update on this iPhone" problem.
Working fine on my 8+. Used my Debit Card and my Starbucks card through Wallet and haven’t had any issues.

Did you get it resolved? Seems like signing out of iCloud and signing back in clears that up.
