Why am I unable to collapse my notifications on beta 2? When I tap them I go straight to the passcode screen!

Do you mean unable to expand?
If you do mean collapse, you’re not meant to collapse by tapping a notification. You collapse by tapping ‘show less’

Can you post a screenshot of your grouped notifications and explain clearly which actions you’re taking?

Hi mate, sorry for being unclear. What I mean is, if I have several email notifications which are all grouped together, I want to tap on the group and see what emails are there. But right now, if I tap the group I go straight to the passcode screen. I thought that when you tap on a group you would be able to see all the emails within that group.

Hmm, seems fine on my BMW with Wireless Carplay?
Sorry, I kick in late here. If you have wireless CarPlay, you must have a 5 series, just like me (one week old Bimmer here ☺️)
The bug that’s said to be gone, is it that the glitch with music stopping to play when using a command that switches interface from Carplay to BMW iDrive?

If that’s gone, great!!

Yep that’s right so it sounds like you have a bug. I’d report. Just to confirm, the grouping you’re seeing is them stacked in a deck, with a message saying ‘x more messages from ...’ at the bottom of the front notification, right?
[doublepost=1530963015][/doublepost]Ah just investigating. Do you have previews disabled? That might be why. Seems it disables expansion unless unlocked

Ahhhhh! I may well have them disabled. So if Previews are disabled I won't be able to open grouped notifications to see what's within the group unless I unlock the device? I'll check when I get home.

I'd love to.report it to Apple but am concerned with their terms and conditions of them having access to my calendar and emails. I can't understand why they need to see my emails to be honest!

I’m thinking of installing iOS 12 beta on my iPad which is not my main unit. My main unit runs latest release version and will keep doing so. It doesn’t matter if things go wrong on my iPad BUT how about iCloud functions? I mean, is there any risk that iOS 12 beta messes up my iCloud library, like Pictures, and other ”external” things on iCloud which eventually will effect my main units functions?

I remember doing the same on iOS 10 beta and all of the sudden my picture library on iCloud was all messed up even for units running release version of iOS.

Any one with experience of this that can leave some comments? Thanks!

Listen, if you aren’t seeing it then you aren’t seeing it. I have no idea how you or anybody else isn’t seeing it when it is so glaringly obvious to me. I wouldn’t just make something like this up for the heck of it you know. It’s been my main gripe with iOS since iOS 7. Every year I hope they fix it and every year they don’t. I’ll still hold out hopes that the final release will fix it since we are still in beta after all, but going by past releases and the fact that it’s still pretty much the same my hopes are starting to wave very thin. I just thought it would be fixed as they made it a point to fix it in their keynote and WWDC session videos. If they don’t live up to their claims then I’m not buying anything from them again since it would be yet another false promise from them (I know, don’t let the door hit you on the way out and that but I’m saying it anyway). I’ve been patient enough after 5 years of the crap and it’s something I personally don’t want to have to deal with for yet another year.

Again, many may be like you and just won’t notice it (which boggles my mind for someone like me who does), or maybe they do and just don’t see it as enough of a problem to care about it like I do. It is a big problem for me though because the reason I loved Apple in the first place was their once smooth 60fps UI with none of this sloppy jank. A truly smooth experience makes all the difference in the world and was one of the reasons why I was so loyal to Apple. What they have going on now is making me want to switch to the Pixel line full time because they seem to value that smoothness I crave.
Perhaps people don’t know or see the difference when they haven’t seen how it could be differently?

I personally don’t suffer from any enexpected framerate experience on my iphone, certainly not for as long as you seem to describe. What I can say is that the motion effects are well... not enjoyable, as the fluidity is debatable. Is that a personal thing for me, or am I pointing the finger exactly at your issue?

Sorry, but if people cannot see it, could you elaborate more concretely on your concern.
I mean, elaborate similarly to trying to describe what a tree looks like to a blind person.

By the way, you don’t sound so happy when I’m reading your irritations in this thread.

Installed public beta 2/dev beta 3 on my iPad 2017 and its running really great , I did a speed test vs my iphone 8 on 11.4 (google drive, itunes, appstore, spotify, apple maps, facebook, messenger ,documents, gmail) and everything except itunes launched faster on my ipad so thumbs up! looking forward for the final version so i can finally get it on my 8 too

Why music player widget stays on the look screen for ever until I close music , YouTube or Spinrilla? If I have pause it for a period of time it should disappear

3D touch starts making sense to me... scan directly into iOS Notes and continue in MacOS Notes. Nice!
But I feel Apple is planning to remove this 3D touch thing altogether, given that more gestures are available on non-3D touch products.

Anyone getting incorrect usage data?

Two questions for the community. Does anyone else have the login box for the app store show up randomly throughout the day asking for you to sign in; and if so do you know of a work around/fix. Secondly, has anyone experienced their alarms not going off and if so have they figured out a work around/fix besides the one I have, rebooting the phone, though this eventually reverts back to no alarms working again.

Runs great on my iPad Pro 10.5”.

No problems with iCloud picture library here, or anythIng else about my iCloud usage.

Since I installed PB2 i was wondering whether autobrightness was broken. Turns out it is not. It has been hidden in General Accessibility Display Accomodations and not under Display and Brightness were it used to be. It can also be enabled through Batter Auto-Brightness. 3d touch -> battery

Not sure if this has been mentioned but notifications going to my apple watch show as phone numbers rather than contact names with iOS 12 beta. Reset sync data fixes it for a couple hours and then it goes back.

Was not an issue on beta 1 or 2.

Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing. TIL I don't even know my closest friends' phone numbers without my address book.

Yeah, and Mojave is doing the same thing. Messages was showing numbers/email addresses only in beta 1... was totally fixed in beta 2... and with beta 3, it's back.

Has anyone had any issues with the phone not reporting the correct charge level? Im having this issue with the iPhone X. I will get the charge indicator but the percentage never goes up. Usually if I reboot my phone it will jump up... sometimes not.

If you erase your watch content and settings, it will fix the message push notification that shows their number instead of contact name. However, if you go into Message app on the Watch it would still show numbers instead of contact names.
